In addition to the prizes listed above, in each matchup Wargaming will determine an MVP from both teams. The MVP of the winning team will earn the Type 59 Chinese Medium tank, while the MVP of the losing team will earn the Type 62 Chinese Light tank. In order for your clan to qualify to receive one of these MVP reward tanks, you will need to submit replays of all battles in the matchup. The more replay files we get to review each matchup, the more accurate the selection will be.

Tournament Format

The tournament will be a single-elimination playoff format consisting of 16 teams. These teams must earn their invite to enter the tournament by completing specific objectives in one of many Clan or Clan Wars events leading up to this event. In order to win the tournament, teams will have to demonstrate their mastery of several different maps.

Details

For all rounds except the championship, each matchup will consist of 2 maps played, with each team playing one battle on either side, for a total of 4 battles. In the championship, the matchup will consist of 3 maps played, with each team playing one battle on either side, for a total of 6 battles.

Battles will be limited to 15 minutes long, with 5 minutes between battles.

Victory Condition

The winner of each round will be determined as the team with more victories after both maps for that round have been played (or, in the case of the championship, after all 3 maps for that round have been played).

Tie-Breakers

Round of 16 and Quarter-Finals

If there is a tie after the initial 4 battles, a tiebreaker will be played on the map Winter Himmelsdorf in a Standard Battle until a winner is decided, switching sides after each battle.

Semi-Finals and Championship

If there is a tie after the initial 4 battles, a tiebreaker will be played on Karelia in Assault Mode to determine the winner. The team with the most cumulative damage throughout that round will get to choose their side.

Q&A

Why Karelia Assault for tie breakers?

Broadcasted matches must have ties settled in one match, and a shootout is not viable for a full-size team. We are matching WGLNA's rules, and deciding it in this manner. If you're worried about being on the wrong side, then be more effective in the earlier battles, and play to win.

How does the multiplier work for 1st place?

At the beginning of September, we calculate how much gold your clan has earned within the entire month of August. This is all gold income, including that earned by ransack. We add it all up, divide by 2, and that's your additional prize.

How does tournament seeding work?

The seeding is based upon what your clan does to earn their place in this tournament. Each method of entry has a pre-determined position in the bracket.

So is the 14 combatants a typo, or correct?  If so, why play with 1 less than we do in CW?

Yes, 14 is correct. In order to do the broadcast, one tank spot must be used by an "Observer" account.

The chance of an average normal clan winning this tournament is lower then winning a lottery ticket.... Us average/weak clan will just sit back and enjoy the larger BEAST clan claim their prizes:sad:

There are only 16 teams, each of them earning a spot from beating out numerous other clans in prior events.  Average "normal" clans won't likely be participating.

The prizes are highly disappointing. I am not even sure if this will be worth the time.

If a prize pool worth 3.5 million gold (including 15 Type 59's and 15 Type 62's) isn't enough for you for 4 days, then, how terrible.

The Sheriff account has all the tanks in game in its garage, doesn't it? If so, then you can have fun with ultra rare tanks. That's gotta be worth something...

It does, but playing it is also time you don't spend on your main account grinding out the stuff you want.

The observers they use to stream take up a slot.

lol---It is a wonder that the producers of the game don't ever seem to notice it is always the same 20 teams or so that win.   Clan wars is mainly a joke unless you are part of a 5-10 clan group which is fine got nothing against the big fellers.  But the tournaments and skirmishes are the same way.  Why can't there be 2 parts of everything?  Lots of folks can't spend 24/7 playing the game.  This summer 2014 is a joke.  First of all it is not invitational and the same 20 clans will walk away with whatever prizes there are.  Why should the other 99 percent of us even bother?  Have your pro players play each other have we duffers play folks around our skill levels.  You want to keep players and offer them goodies.  You only give it to the top pro players.  I realize you will do nothing and I will hear the many comments from the pro guys saying---hey we like it this way we always get to the top---we don't need fairness--wargaming.net is only on our side anyway.  Still I think you need to have a two tier system.

You have to compete at a competitive level to win anything anywhere. The only way this can be "fair" in your eyes is if everybody won a prize. That's not going to happen! If they have tournament for the "less skilled" players, the losers will complain that someone good is playing a crap account, and the complaints from losers keep coming... Shouldn't need to adjust a tournament so that losers can win.

My advice, get better. If not, don't compete.
