Once we have a clan and skirmishing on a regular bases what is the next logical step Global map or stronghold defense?

If we setup a defense period and lose how much resources could we lose in an hour?

Can we setup just one, 1 hour defense period and down grade back to IV right after just to test our clan in this type of game play?

Clan A declares SH attack on Clan B

Clan A attacks Clan B on B2 and loses the battle, next battle is on Clan A2 bldg.

Clan B is now is attacking Clan A2 bldg. In that 2nd battle, if it ends in a draw, who wins ? 

1st battle

Clan A   HQ - bldgA1 - bldgA2 ->  bldgB2- BldgB1- HQ Clan B

2nd battle

Clan A   HQ - bldgA1 - bldgA2 <-  bldgB2- BldgB1- HQ Clan B

Upgrading your Stronghold to Level 5 allows you to set a Defense Period, which is a 1-hour block of time every day that you can be attacked.

 

You can also choose to deactivate your defense (drop to level 4) and will no longer be attacked.  It takes 48 hours to deactivate your defense, so you'll want to have a team prepped for those days as well.

CW and SH raids offer different things, but both are good progression. CW allows you to preplan your tank lineup and positioning for a given map, and obviously offers gold if you win territory. Raids get you more fights, no tank locking,  and fewer/no diplomatic concerns.  Top clans also tend to be more relaxed in SH, so you're less likely to see someone's A-team run over you. 

 

The best answer depends on what you need to work on: CW will allow your callers to work more on strats, while raids will improve their reactions and give your players more work on teamplay. They're also not mutually exclusive (as long as you don't schedule them on top of each other), so both is a viable answer as well. 

 

To your specific questions, you can downgrade at any time you feel necessary. As for max loss, it scales up as you go up in tiers, but losing all 3 structures at tier 5 is roughly a 1200 box loss.  Keep in mind also that when you schedule attacking raids, you can lose your own structures as well, so be careful who you hit.

The owner of the building currently being attacked "wins" draws, but turtling for a draw is a losing play in most cases and douchey in all cases. Don't do it.

It's not like servers are being unified anymore, so time zone issues shouldn't be an issue.

 

If I could, I'd make Stronghold defense times tied to the CW map time zones.  So there is something like a 5-8 hour timezone where a clan can schedule their defenses at.

I noticed in Tourneys and Team Battles people from different clans can team up, but it looked like that is not the case with Strongholds.  Is that correct?  On nights I don't do Strongholds with my clan, it would be fun to do Strongholds with my friends clan.

A reason?  Mongolian, Japanese, Chinese, Russian & European clans love to raid & pillage while North America is asleep.  

 

Conjucture:  Wargaming developers did not know they created a Tribute system for North American clans to pay everyone else in boxes?  Or perhaps Wargaming knew its a route nerf the most efficient clans into supporting the poorer clans of EU & Asian into staying on the NA server, who play during off-peak hours?

 

VILIN's Stronghold:

Attack efficiency    83.00%

Defense efficiency 31.00%

 

RELIC's Stronghold:

Attack efficiency     83.00%

Defense efficiency 41.00%

           

Totem's Stronghold:

Attack efficiency    88.00%

Defense efficiency 57.00%

 

ARAVT's stronghold:

Attack efficiency     85.00%

Defense efficiency  45.00%

 

Maybe Vilin could improve to meet ARAVT or RELIC's level of Defense efficiency?

The offensive efficiency is very high as it stands for VILIN clan.

 You can play in another Clan's Stronghold level 6/8/10 if you are not in a Clan yourself at the time.  It's being a legionnaire.  

 

There is not hard a deadline set by Wargaming for a legionnaire to become a clan member.  However generally Clan's will first recruit their own members before asking a legionnaire to join them. Why? Industrial Resources requirements to keep up a Tier 6+ Stronghold Bonuses going.  Having legionnaire(s) means less boxes earned for a clan, compared to only having members.

 

 

Unranked team battles lack tier 6 & 10 levels, as the format is point based with mostly battle tier 8 & 7 used on each side.

Can we please get an answer on this issue, it's honestly annoying looking for fights when you have clans having defenses at times that people physically are not there. Like a 3 PM EST defense time for 404/R-7, doubt they even have 10 players on to play in total. Even those ridiculous 10 AM EST clans, there is no call for this. Like having a time frame up for fights (Like earliest 6 PM EST, and the latest being 1AM EST would be reasonable) As is, everyone is defending by no attacking, or any of the clans that have reasonable times, have to wait for someone to attack them (if they are ever so lucky to be attacked) to even have fights more than 2 times a week.....so can we really get an answer here to this.

Think they will answer in the same time frame as with the CW post they made recently? I mean 1 year to start fix 2.0, success right?

I know, you literally put restrictions on those times. I mean unless they can literally show they con fill teams at that time IE: have at least 20 active members on for X amount of time, then you shouldn't be allowed to have stupidly ridiculous hours for defense.

Just wonering, is there ever going to be a 5th branch of the stronghold , I have set the artillery and bomber squadron  in our stronghold map and we still have two more buildings we could build but there is not a place for them in the map. are you ever going to add one more branch to the tree?
