The only "fictional" tank is the VK4502(P), which was only ever a paper panzer, all its armour and gun specifications are made up.
What about all the "Object" tanks in the Russian line? I understand the closest those ever became to being real tanks were bored Russian filing clerks with WWII-themed origami interests.

Surprisingly, Object tanks are quite real....the hull at least.

VK4502(P) is an actual proposal Porsche made after he learn of new generation of German tank in hope to show off his hybrid engine.

extreamly overpriced to make one with all the tech it got as well as the transition to mbt style warfare.
but that is a long story that you should ask about on the russion side of this forum.

The T28 Prototype: Now even more made up than before!

Seriously though, it's funny how people complain about how the T28's horrible armor doesn't work at all because of how small the working area is and how big that lower plate is, yet their answer is "history!" Yet, there's no history behind it at all. They just lied about it, outright. Now a T28 prototype. There was no such thing. And it will probably be even worse than the already miserable T28. What will they do to this one? Have its gun facing out its ass?

then what is this a picture of exactly?

http://wiki.worldoft...m/File:T28a.jpg

Either someone is rather good with 'shopping photos or we have the T28/ something close and possibly a real model for a tank that may have been the precursor to the T95 as seen on the regular wikipedia page.

Hint: Check the frontal hull section on the picture and compare that to the in-game T28.

clarification:

http://www.the-bluep..._tank-33210.jpg
This is a T28 Super Heavy tank. it is also known as teh T95 Gun Motor Carriage. same machine, no difference

the T28 in-game is fictional.
the T28 Prototype is only more so, (cause technecally the T28 was alredy a prototype)
*drink*

Im not sure about how the T28 prototype will work. i honestly would prefer that saucer T28 from hunnicutts. makes more sense then a super sized hellcat. supposedly the T28-p has 254 frontal or something.

How long do we have to wait to get a glimpse of what some of these TDs are gonna look like?

Well now we can see the T28 prototype in the 7.2 update video and he got and giant slugger turret on top of the chassis.
This is a weird concept!

The hull on the T28 Prototype sure looks stronger. The glacis is decently sloped@250mm+ and it doesn't have a big, flat lower hull weakness like the T28.

Not too crazy about the open turret though. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

saw the 7.2 vid.

T28 Prototype is preety much a T28 with a really big Slugger turret bolted into teh front in place of teh casemate.

*shrug* not very imaginative.

The 7.2 video shows the T28 prototype,

0:56

It seems to have a roofless turrent, a 120mm gun, and the same chassis as the T28 with the large almost flat front.

So now the T28 full of weakspots wil be worthless compared to a T28P which is maybe even faster and has a turret.

No reason to grind that road anymore except if someone wants a T95

I WANT A T95!!!!!!!!!! so basically the old T28 will be like the VK4502 ausf B.?(only reason to get it is o get the tank 1 tier up)

Atleast the T95 owns the T30, but i think the turret of the T28P will be weak if not it is almost invincible when angled and BTW open top = High vurnerability to HE and arty

Devs have admitted that the T28 was mostly made-up by themselves, it was not a real tank not even a design.

The T28 Prototype is just an extension of that, making up a turret and putting it on their made-up TD.

Should've used that saucer turret that was floating around on that concept drawing. At least that would have looked interesting and different.

and it was a real design (sort of)

heck there are plenty of simple sketch designs floating around even one for a T8 TD to replace the T28.

i saw it on another thread, replace teh T28 and rename teh T95 "T28/T95"
