Atleast the T95 owns the T30, but i think the turret of the T28P will be weak if not it is almost invincible when angled and BTW open top = High vurnerability to HE and arty

That's pretty outdated information. Because of the way HE works now if you slam an HE shell into the side of this turret it will only go through either the roof of the hull or through the side of the turret. Only way to exploit an open top turret is to shoot down into the turret or maybe get an arty shell to land in there, but good luck being that accurate with artillery.

Remember, the reason a lot of these open top designs were vulnerable to HE was because in the old system HE shell damage was calculated through the weakest armor within a spherical radius of the explosion, which meant the open roof could be easily exploited. Now when facing on flat ground the tank will only be as vulnerable as any other tank, open roof or not because you can't shoot over and into a turret when your on about the same level.

I got penetrated by a KV-5 last battle like 4 times through the front on himmelsdorf so I hope that won't be the same thing with the prototype.

Devs have admitted that the T28 was mostly made-up by themselves, it was not a real tank not even a design.

The T28 Prototype is just an extension of that, making up a turret and putting it on their made-up TD.

Shouldn't the in-game T28 be [essentially] a T95 without the additional tracks stuck to it? T28 was the earlier name of the T95, so it's not really that fictional.

It's just modeled wrongly. *cough*T110*cough*

So we will have turreted high tier US TD's in addition to our non-turreted high tier US TD's.  Interesting!

The  prototype I believe will be weak by comparison to the 28 due to it's turret a now much larger and easier weakspot to target.  Never believe the t28 is weak it is an awesome td regularly get 900+ do just in losses alone.

It does though, appear to have a stupidly thick mantlet.

From what I saw in the 7.2 video, the T28 looks like a messed up Slugger(or was that something else?) :P

Its not unlikely that the T28P will not have 254 armor like the in-game T28. Since it is a fantasy tank.

I am surprised no one else has indicated this, its actually shown briefly in the 7.2 trailer.

T28p is actually shown at 57 seconds in, link is a few seconds earlier to give it time to load so you dont miss it.

T28 prototype is ok. Terribly slow a whole 18 kmh and it goes about 4kmh going up a slight incline. im playing it on test. havent gotten to the 120mm yet using the 105 seems to do ok. 202 frontal armor with no slope is bad in tier 9 or 10 battles. anything tier 8 or higher can pen it easy.

stock gun is the 90mm. then 2nd gun is the 105 and the top gun is the tier 10 120mm

That's without the mantlet? Anyone know how much the mantlet adds then? Also, hows the gun depression?

So it's basically a slower Ferdinand with a turret and lower damage best gun?

I think I might grind up this TD when it goes live.  I got one on the test server now with the 120, and it's very tough.  I bounced a BL-9 four times from the front, then he gave up and shot HE at me.  A T34 managed to penetrate my forward glacis.  I think the slight slope to the 203mm of frontal armor helps a bit.  The ROF of the 120 seems OK.

It's a funny branch.  If I went for this TD, I would go for the T30, then T28, then T95.

From the people who have actually gotten on the test server, how many crew members are needed for the T28P and M103?
