Group Stage Standings

Basic Tournament Information for Skirmish 28:

Please see tournament page for all information

  • Team Size: 6 combatants + 3 reserves
  • Map: Abbey
  • Mode: Standard
  • Tier Point Limit: 36 points max
  • Tier Limits:
    • This represents the max tier allowed. Teams are allowed to bring lower tiers.
    • Light: Tier 6
    • Medium: Tier 6
    • Heavy: Tier 6
    • TD: Tier 6
    • SPG: Tier 6
    • Special Restrictions: No more than 2 of each tank model (e.g. Hellcat, KV-1S, Cromwell, etc)

Skirmishes now have three days of group play (Monday-Wednesday) followed by a playoff (Friday-Sunday). Teams can choose to play only in the weekend playoff or participate in group play for better seeding and greater prizing.

After completing group play, a standings table will sort all teams across all groups based on points earned against points possible. Prizes are awarded at completion of group play to teams finishing in the top half of the standings. These teams qualify for the Alpha Playoff. All remaining teams qualify for the Bravo Playoff.

Alpha Playoff

  • This playoff consists of the top 50% of group play teams who will play for a larger prize pool. Group play performance will determine playoff seeding.

Bravo Playoff

  • This playoff consists of all remaining teams and includes teams registering solely for the weekend. These teams will compete for a smaller prize pool and the playoff brackets are not seeded.

Both the Alpha & Bravo Playoffs will use multiple brackets holding a maximum of 16 teams. This means multiple winners are awarded prizing for their standing in their respective bracket.

Teams and players may only register once for the skirmish.

Registration is open!!

An important note to all teams...there has been an addition to the rules that y'all should be aware of:

Reporting Technical Victories/Defeats

  • Alpha Playoffs: Captains are encouraged to report any technical victories for Friday's Playoff Round of 16.
  • The team that received the technical defeat will not receive any gold for the Alpha Playoffs. They will still receive gold for competing in the Group Stage.
  • The team with the technical victory will be awarded 250 gold, plus the gold earned based on their final position. This is only for the Friday Playoff Round of 16.
  • To report a technical victory:
    • Send an email to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com immediately after the round has ended
    • Subject: <tournament name> Technical Defeat
    • Your in-game name as team captain
    • Your team name
    • The opposing team name
    • Screenshot showing the complete technical victory. A partial technical victory will not count.

I noticed this while reading the tournament page - the gold color 250 stands out!!!.

We got this extra 250 gold a few month ago, without reporting the technical victory, but know it looks like the captain will have to report it and only for Friday's playoff.

Looking forward to this Skirmish. Tier 6 always brings out a lot of teams. Kind of like a mini tank company.

A stupid question, but are legal mods allowed in Skirmshes?
The official rule says nothing about it. http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/357840-skirmish-rules-v2/page__pid__7153886#entry7153886

Yes, I have been using Quickybaby's xvm pack in about 8 Skirmishes.

There is really no way Wargaming can see what mod you are using, other then you sending in a replay or screenshot.

Hey dance, do you think there will be any 3v3 tournaments soon? It seemed there was a lot of them for a while and I very much enjoyed them, but haven't seen any lately

This should help: (my teams taking anti cheating measures to the next level this tournament)

http://worldoftanks.com/uc/teams/91260-O_Captain%2521_My_Captain%2521/

But beyond people you trust and have easy contact with I suggest you add methods of easily contacting you (forum mail if you use it a lot or if you set it to send you emails when you get forum mail, in game msg if you're on a lot) TS info I'd stick on the description though. In my case a requirement to join my team was to find out what TS I was on and find it on your own though. A sensible requirement in my case.

"Your brave team will have to do their best to combat the darkness while making use of a host of tier VI vehicles."

Is this a fluff line?

or

Is there more to this skirmish that they are saying?

Yes Mods are allowed in the skirmishes.

And replays only record the data as if it is a vanilla client, and there are other ways that they can tell if you are using mods and what mods they are.

I also love the idea that WG is tackling the Tech Vics. in the round of 16.

I applaud you on taking the anti-cheating serious, but come on the point of only having 1 or 2 names in there is to prevent WG getting tons of emails from your team about the same offense. (which they will not notice until they have read about 3/4 of each email). which in turn is just a waste of their time.

Woah I don't intend to spam their email. I just plan on having lots of people to order to send the email for me :P It's a joke, plus a precaution if I don't show, calm down mogi!
