I read in the patch notes that the fire extinguisher will be activated when clicked now. How does crew fire fighting secondarys work in this case?

Cheers

Their abilities probably just help prevent fires and put them out faster once you activate the extinguisher.

Well fire extinguishers after the patch will put out the fire instantly.

The manual one, when you hit the button.

The automatic 0.5s after a fire starts and reduces chance of fire by 10%.

Quote

- Changed firefighting mechanic: fire strength decreases with each second. The exact value differs from vehicle to vehicle and is multiplied by average crew firefighting skill. As soon as fire strength reaches zero (and the vehicle is not destroyed), the fire is put out.

So Crew skill increases the rate that the fire loses strength and goes out if no fire extinguisher is available or being used.

Ok,

If you do NOT have a fire extinguisher, firefighting skill is used the same way it is now.
If you DO have a fire extinguisher, use it when you catch fire (assuming its a manual extinguisher)

So, having the fire fighting skill is semi useless.

Firefighting skills still work when you don't have a fire extinguisher. Or when you've used it and then get set on fire again.

I was in a game in my T-28.. It was very close to being completely under water.... Yet I was on fire.

That was funny.

I wonder if this ability will be "buffed" or "nerfed" in the up coming patch?....LOL
