Hi,

I've just run into a few things if I could please have a bit of clarification.

Is range of radar used for detecting "red dots" moving in your radar range and range to green dots on other side of may, ie able to relay that information?

Or is range of detection based on tank's turrent sight range?

Also, sometimes on minimap I can see red dot, but I can't see the actual target or their tank type designation diamond. Is this a result of radar or sight?

Cheers

There are no radars, there are radios  :Smile_harp:

Your team spots an enemy whenever a red dot is seen on the minimap. You see and spot an enemy when a red marker appears on your screen

Sorry yea I meant radio.

When a person "spots" do they do so with their radio range, or with their physical view range from the turret? I've noticed some vehicles have epic "detection" ranges, is it possible to upgrade all tanks to have max sight of 500?

In a nutshell:
If your max view range is say, 460m and you have a friendly at 400m who's spotting an enemy another 100m beyond, and you both have long range radios, you will see the red enemy dot on your map and possibly in your reticule.
700m seems to be the maximum distance an object is drawn and often friendlies blink out for me at 670m or so,  which corresponds with what the WoT devs has stated.

This is where a scout or other team mate with a good radio makes the difference.

Cheers
