I cannot decide at the moment whether to just save up for an SU-85B or buy camo netting. I heard that the 25% camo bonus gets divided by crew number (4 men in my SU-76) so will the 6.25% bonus really benefit me at all?

EDIT: Seems that the 76mm of the SU-85B has less pen than my 57mm ZiS-2.. Will it still do any good against Tier 5 heavies?

Camo netting does nto get divided amongst crew. That is the camo skill itself. As for getting the net. Go for it, because you can take it off and transfer it to your SU-85B when you get it.

It's the crew's camo skill that gets divided (4 man crew, one has 100% camo skill, divides by 4 for only 25% bonus, etc.), the net is a constant bonus.  Very handy to have, if you learn to set up where you won't need to move much.

The 76mm is still passable against tier 5 heavies, though not by a huge margin.  Side armor is still vulnerable, and most of the hulls should be somewhat easily cracked.  The 76 will struggle against frontal armor, though.  It's the better choice against light and medium targets.

The 57mm will have an easier time punching through heavy armor, though it's still not ideal.  Low damage means you won't actually hurt them much even if you penetrate.

Either 85mm is really the way to go here - I'd use the 76mm until you grind enough XP to upgrade to the big guns, then you'll start to see real results.

Ooh, I see. Thanks for all the info. I decided to go for an SU-85B yesterday and at the moment, it's earning me a lot more cash than my old SU-76.. Hopefully I'll be getting an 85mm and camo netting soon. :)
