Hi everyone, I'm Parox and I started making these videos as a way to help out the players who are new, and don't know the ins and outs of the game. These videos are only a small part of my youtube channel, I have many replays of carry games and nail biters!  Feel free to check them out as well (link will be at the bottom of this post)

I hope you new players learn some things by watching this new series "How to Tank" and I hope that you will continue to watch episodes in the future! You can also find my map guides below the how to tank videos.

Kinda sad we need a guide to teach players how to avoid fail-platoons.

Yes, I saw a tier 5, 2, 1 platoon yesterday in a tier 5 battle.  I was so very surprised !

I wonder if they were trolling for TK's.

I remember a tier 8 match and on my team there was a platoon with an elc amx, t49 and stug3 and the stug started whining about being in a tier 8 battle.  I don't know if they were joking or if they truly don't understand that the elc can see higher tiers...they only lasted about 2 minutes in that match so I don't think they were joking...

I remember when I started I thought that if I brought my tier 4 light with a tier 1, I would be placed at the top of the tier 1 games. That was a mistake

Why does the red team have the ability to cloak and the green team doesn't?  BigDem

What you are referring to as "cloaking" is the spotting mechanics at work. I'll be sure to explain this in a later video more in depth. But basically, while you will always know where your team mates are (unless they are out of your signal range) you will not know where the enemy is unless you or someone else on your team spotted them. This works the same way for the enemy team, they can't see your team, but can still see each other.  Hope this helps!

Much more sad is when no one teaches us to love.  Love play is NOT instinctive.  Why expect game play to be instinctive?

No new "how to tank" videos yet. But I thought I'd post an awesome replay of a carry some clan mates and I had the other day!

With fail platoons are the low tier tanks weighted as if they were their platoon mate's tier or their actual tier?

If what you really need is a silent passive scout a T40 (tier 4 TD with 400 view range) would leave a lot of MM weight headroom to have better upper tier tanks.  I wouldn't do it myself but it might be a way to game the MM weighting.  If you're going to suck in a AMX 13 90 (48 MM weight) the T40 (8 MM weight) leaves 40 MM points which is the MM equivalent of swapping two tier 8 TD's for two tier 9's.  That is a fairly decent upgrade.

Thanks for the map guides Parox. They are quite helpful. I've only played a bit over a week now so I'm still learning the maps as well as the game play. The less cursing I get for not quite knowing where to go yet, the better. Tank on! ;)

Do not shoot bots as this will get you banded for up to 24 hours, even if you spend money on the game. I got suspended for shooting a bot, called team kill, instead of them taking care of bots they allow WAR PACK a cheat for the game if you pay money then it is legal.. sounds oneside to me where they make the money.... they WOT do no allow it, but they do nothing to stop it, so if you like playing with cheaters then by all means enjoy your [edited]whooping. but do not spend money on the game, take your mother or friend out to lunch instead, they would never cheat you.

Warpack was officially banned and is illegal as WG says. Just that they can't stop you from buying. And WG has the right to scan your WoT folder. It's in the EULA. And Warpack is useless against good players. You can't find Warpack anymore really. And money spending ONLY from WG websites is good. They advise never to purchase WoT items from other sites.

I can't figure out how to get into a game. I can log in but can't seem to navigate to get into a game. It's maddening. How do I simply get into a match once I've logged in? What tab gets me there?
