Hi guys Ive just had an awesome battle on my KV-2, every single battle in this beast is fun but also as long as I manage to get shots in place you get plenty of massive damage.

Can a tank like this be used as a WN8 padder??

would love to know your thoughts guys!    I also give you the replay, any positive criticism is very welcome!!

Tanks with high alphas have higher expected damage, so you still would have to do well to pad wn8.  For example, the KV-2 needs 1400 damage to achieve "Super Unicum" wn8 status.  The Churchill VII, however, only needs 1225.  IMO you can pad in any tank you play well in, my pad tank is the IS-3 for instance.

Nice game nonetheless! :playing:

possible but you need to run games like this with consistency.

Thats what separates the current unicums from the rest of us.

There are tanks that have lower expected average damage values then others...they are 'easy' to get high wn8s in,however, that doesn't mean its easy.

Consistency is the name of the padding game.

The better players in this game can keep up games like this at longer periods resulting in high wn8 values. The rest try, they look for easy low value dmg value tanks, get a good game here and there and wonder

what was going wrong.

how to improve your wn8?

be proficient in the tanks you drive not just the one that you think will pad better. That proficiency should translate to you being able to maintain great dmg/kill games over longer periods. Achieving this usually means you are a bigger influence(asset) on your teams chance to win.......which usually translates to better win rates:)

Wn8 is tank-dependent. How good it is as a paddie tank depends entirely on what the wn system expects players to do in it.

The KV-2 is a fantastic tank for padding because of how absolutely abysmally most people lay it. Rack up a thousand damage and it's a garaunteed 2500+ wn8 match.

Go to http://www.wnefficie...net/wnexpected/ to view your particular tank. The KV-2 only required 881 damage to be "Average" so if you consistently rack up over 1k, you're gonna see gains in wn8.

Instead of padding though, you should look to genuinely get better. Instead of exploiting the system, work on improving your play so you can do well across the board.

Stat padding. Now socially acceptable.

Enough with the "paddling" [edited]theories. The ONLY way to paddle your way up is to IMPROVE your game.

Just focus on improving your skills as a player. WN8 is only really paddable once you are in the 3500+ WN8 range (and then it gets extremely paddable).

Innately, high-speed tanks with good gun handling are the most natural WN8 padders because they are the best at snapping up empty damage at the end of the game, and the best at relocating to wherever the damage is.

You can achieve a high WN8 value in the KV-2 but it isn't really predisposed to padding in any way- generally it's harder to reach the upper WN8 threshold in heavy tanks on a consistent basis.

Honestly, 1400dmg in a KV-2 is pretty damn easy. Load 2 shells of prem Ap. Fire two shells of prem AP. Done.

I carry 10 prem AP always in my KV-2. Easy to get 2k damage at least.

Even though I'm not an amazing player, you should note that WN8 doesn't mean anything if you can't actually play to the skill level it infers. It's like the people that pad their stats with T18's slinging gold in a Tier 2 match, it doesn't mean anything if you can't perform once you get into a higher tier match.

Stat Padding, anything like Maxi-Padding?  Made to absorb those embarrassingly heavy days ...

Or you can pad in everytank by putting out consistent and constant damage for 10-13 minutes per match. Get the first shot, don't get return damage and keep it up until the match ends by using good mechanics... and the best thing is if you improve your play you improve your winrate. It become a win win win at that point... and you get to have fun while doing it as opposed to wanting to punch the screen infront of you...
