I go through the launcher and I see the little WoT video, then I type in my username and password, but after that it comes up says connecting, then freezes when it says entering game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and still the same issue. I have also deleted the folders that remain after the "Uninstall". Any suggestions?

Yeah, I have the same problem since I updated to 6.4. Does anyone know how to fix that?

restarted my connection, my PC... run the game with admin rights...
deleted preferences...

nothing... just keep getting stuck in "Entering game"

EDIT:
works now... for some strange reason...

my idea is that is related to the server... maybe to many people in the game?  :Smile_harp:

Right, i have this problem too and have also started up a thread about this on the EU Forum group.
This seems to be an increasingly prevalent issue after the latest patch, with more and more people getting the exact same problem.

So far i have done the following, without any success:

1. re-installed game 3+ times, very smoothly, making sure to get rid of any trace of previous installs each time.

This seems to show that the error does not lie with the installed Game Files, and/or corrupted downlod.

2. I can log into my account using a differant PC without a hitch.

This seems to confirm that the problem is on my end, with my PC. My account (and presumably everyone elses) is fine, it's just we can't get to them.

3. Both my firewall and AVG anti-virus have been turned off (not recomended), and checked that ports opened to allow this game.

This eliminates, at least to my knowledge, the problem being a security block of some sort.

4. As everyone else, my password and E-mail are accepted without trouble, it is only after this the "Cog starts endlessly spinning", with "Entering Game...".

This shows that there isn't a problem with what we are typing in for the "sign in" screen, as if the error/freeze/loop was becuase of incorrect input of details.

5. I have updated my drivers.

I suspected the issue might be to do with the updated graphics implemented with patch 6.4, so i tried this, but to no avail.

6. I have allowed WoT all the Admin rights and full access through Vista that i can possibly think of, inc running the game as Administrator.

again this could have accounted for why the game was not quite being allowed though on my end, but no luck here either.

I am currently running Vista 64 bit, i have plenty of disk space, i easily meet recommended req, i never used to get lag in matches, and overall the game was running excellently before 6.4.

After spending 2 days on this now, trying to work out why , ever since the latest patch, i just get "Entering Game...".
I have run out of ideas here, and would be very grateful for anything anyone can think of to help.

Also, if i get it working, i will be sure to post what i did for the benefit of everyone else on here.

Got the exact same issue as the above. I play on the European server, but noticed the same issue here as well.

Tried everything and even went as far as to do a fresh install of windows 7 (64). Downloaded the game fresh from the site, no luck either. Admin rights and all that stuff done and checked. It's only since today though. Last night I could play fine without any issue.

I'm lost as to what to do next though...

The below fixed it for me:

Press Windows key + R and type %appdata%\wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks
(Another way: press START and select Run...)

Please delete the preferences.xml file. That will reset game settings.

Hope it helps you guys

Just started getting this problem today, above just fixed it for me, had to let it freeze and exit 3 times and restart before it connected properly though.

Thanks for the fix! Same error started happening here today. Deleting the preferences.xml file fixed it.

Oh, and you need to reload the game a couple of times for the fix to work.

It fixed it for me permanently. I suffer a freeze in mid battle these days now though :P

You may want to remove the file again and uninstall the game. Then do a re-install in a different folder.
That way you make sure there are no traces, or reference to any old game files.

The issue I had was that I stayed stuck at the text "entering the game". Nothing more.

The issue I am facing now that my game freezes mid battle for no appearent reason. I have found out though that it
has to do with an error that pops up: "display driver kernel (name of my driver) stop responding and has succesfully recovered".
Can't seem to solve it, no matter what I do. Formatted, did a fresh instal of windows and the game and still nada. Did run any update
what so ever. Even now when I hae updated everything, stil the same. I had the issue in Vista as well (running Win 7 now). Even have a
different video card as back then. And it only happens when I play games :(

So the 2nd issue is different from the first I had.

I downloaded the game for the 1st time yesterday and have yet to get in.  I'm still stuck at Entering Game.  I tried the %appdata%\wargaming.net\WorldOfTanks fix a few times and it's not working.  Any ideas?
