As the policy says, they will receive a warning.

A. If you disconnect, just reconnect to get back in the match. Reconnections will not be counted against you.

Great, now we can't play our SPGs back to back? Shouldn't the system track the gun's movements, text sent, and shots fired?

You can play your arty (or any other tank) back to back.  Just don't suck while playing them (i.e cause damage).

If you rarely move, you really aren't doing it right.

^ This.

In my arty pieces, I am almost always constantly moving. That way it is harder for me to get counter battered. Move 15-20m per shot. 1. It will prevent warnings from being sent due to being AFK. 2. It will help prevent you from being CB.

You misunderstand the purpose of this post.  There are several posts a day where players voice this as a concern. I've not seen one yet where the player said they got a warning for doing so.  IMHO, they are just searching for excuses why the system is faulty, when it works just as well as the team damage/TK system.

I understood the point of his post just fine.  I just don't believe the system actually works like they think it does.  And frankly, that's not at all uncommon with WG.

I'd been playing for 1-1/2 years and a few days ago my computer(?)/game(?) crashed for the first time. The game roster came up, froze while loading the tanks, went back to the roster and froze again while loading the tanks. Nothing on my keyboard worked, not even ESC. I didn't know you could log out and log back in again and still be in the battle. I thought once you logged out, you were out of the battle, too. In this case, I kept connected for the full 15 minutes, with a frozen screen, then manually rebooted. I logged back in and saw the warning. I was afraid to play after that for fear I would be banned if it happened again. I'm glad to see this thread, it's put me more at peace.

I have never left a battle before being destroyed. If I have to leave, I tell my team mates I have to go but will do a suicide run before leaving. I have seen a suicide run turn the tides of a battle.

Thank you, Pigeon_of_War, for posting this explanation.

Now I know I am going to be negged for this even though it is a legitimate question. Why are you forcing the newbies who suck with artillery but are trying to start this game going down those lines and only those lines to have even more reasons to quit? I was teaching my nephew to play the game, he is eight, and he found that he loves artillery. He has trouble with focusing on one spot of the map because he has ADHD. He recieved two warnings in a row once because RNG literally screwed his shots and a second because of his ADHD. I know this will help against botters but just like the arty team damage handicap you really should take into account that there are new people playing your game that want to go for arty and nothing else till they get high enough in that tree.

Careful you dont get in trouble or a ban, for this post.
A : Sharing accounts so others can play them is against the rules EULA(even if its a friend trying out the game)
B : 8 years old is below the 13 year old age limit and is against the rules to let minors play.

Just so you know... careful what you say to who and where.
The Ban Hammer falls easily in these parts of the interweb

Thanks Pigeon_of_War. This has answered all the questions I had about the new system.

Fix MM, so it doesn't blatantly throw battles and I'll consider not leaving a bovine fecal matter match, so I can enjoy my playtime.

I have a question: How long does it take before warning "subside" or don't count against you? Or are they forever, so if I quit once a month I'll eventually get banned?

You are still free to leave as often as you want. At one stage your connection might get interupted...that's the new part.

It'll be like the team damage thing; it'll wear off after a few games/hours. ... probably.

There's nothing to fix and it doesn't throw battles.

Hey Wargaming

You can take your desertion penalties and stick them up your [edited], what a joke. You have done nothing to fix the program. Yet your going to penalize a player for not wanting to watch the end of a 13 - 0 match. [edited]

As stated above your penalty for leaving is a [edited]joke. So stick it. And to FlorbFnarb bite me.

Sack up, grow a pair, and quit chickening out before the match is over.

So many whiners playing this game.

Did WG recently change this rule, because as far as I know, account sharing is NOT illegal, the only thing I can find that addresses this issue is that the primary account holder is responsible for whoever uses the account.

Perhaps I am missing something, but I think you may be passing out misinformation.

Block Quote

What if I disconnect from the game due to internet, hardware, or bug issues?

A. If you disconnect, just reconnect to get back in the match. Reconnections will not be counted against you. If you are unable to reconnect, you will receive a warning, but you shouldn’t be concerned for just a single warning. It is only once a pattern of disconnecting is established that a punishment is given.

Not necessarily so.  I was disconnected and when I tried to log back on I was told that W0T had already started, i.e. I couldn't simply reconnect.  I was forced to reboot my computer, which took forever, and by the time I was able to reconnect I was issued the warning.   I've issued a ticket asking for it to be revoked but just wanted players to know that it may not be as simple as the above quote.

What he said is correct: you were not punished, you only received the automated warning.  Like he suggested, don't worry about it, just go on about your game.
