Thank you for responding so quickly to my post.  And to not giving me the full court noob treatment, that is very appreciated, even though I likely deserve it.  There's a lot of infor here to process.  Some of it's common sense stuff, and I know it.  I'll work on what I've got, and keep after it, will report back at a later date, likely ask more questions.

Again, thanks for the assistance.

That's the nature of these forums. If you ask legitimate questions and show a willingness to learn, you will get decent responses.

I like these videos. I think you did a nice job. I really like the fourth one: Staying in Presence. I refer to it as "Faking it till you make it" If you look at the battles as a pool of -/+HP, you are giving your team a huge advantage if you can delay the opponents advance and bog down their reaction. Anyways good pointers.

Nice job Uberdice, I wish this post around before I figured these things out through 2500 games of trial and error XD

I will use your side scrape video in the future when I explain how to side scrape to others, makes it easier to explain.

One thing, can you please leave the captions on a bit longer for us slow readers? :)

Otherwise excellent guides indeed and really fun to watch.

THANX, MAJOR!!! :amazed: at how a Simple Logic tool can make the difference!  I especially, liked when confronted with numerous RED Tanks, and how to tank them out!  My Tank is usually the Fastest, so what I have done numerous times, is in order to draw out

the Red Tanks/Enemy, is go ahead of my Comrades, and Spot, Report, Fire as much as I can, then retreat and wait for reinforcements.

Or on many occasions, draw out the enemy and.....

Tanks again,

I'd like to sincerely thank you.

I've been looking for short, objective videos (no 30 min "class" full of talking, recording garage, joking on webcam to show a simple thing). This was straight to the point and perfect to me.

As you are a blue player, I'd like to ask a few questions if you have the time:

- What do you consider is key, from going from green (1300-1450 wn8) to blue? (Ok, more damage = more wn8, but does it mean playing high tiers?)

- What to do mid-tier (Tiers 5-6-7), when the flank / area I choose to go has low action and the game seems to be a steamroll? (As I victory I will end up searching for action to do damage, and as I loss I would retreat / camp / base defend until I die).

- When is the right time to move up in tiers (I do have positive 54-55% in some tier 7 tanks as IS and KV3, should I free exp modules on tier 8 line (kv4 - is3) and start running them?

Any other general advice on becoming a more solid and regular player are highly welcome. Thank you,

Any other general advice on becoming a more solid and regular player are highly welcome. Thank you,

1. Learn to be aggressive, and play to win, no matter what. This means learning tactics and tricks that maximise your team's effectiveness. Don't make high WN8 numbers your priority - those will follow strong winning plays. Generally speaking, learn a couple of strong early game plays for each map, and get really good at them.

2. Relocate to a higher traffic area if feasible. If not, secure your sector, and move to limit the amount of the map the enemy can move through. Identify higher activity areas and keep those in mind the next time you get that map.

3. Positive kill/death and damage dealt/received ratios, and a positive win rate. After that, move up when you feel comfortable enough. You will nearly always get mauled when first moving up to a new tier, because you have to adjust to new tanks you can face. If you feel you're not improving, don't stop playing the new tier, just restrict the amount of battles you play in it while you build your skills up some more in the previous tier.

Generally, the only way to get better is to practice - however, the old adage "practice makes perfect" is not applicable here. "Practice makes permanent" is what you need to keep in mind, so if you honestly have no idea what to do in a certain situation or how to play a certain tank, look it up on YouTube, the forums, the wiki, or whatever, instead of stubbornly trying to work it out for yourself - you may very well end up teaching yourself some bad habits that can take a long time to unlearn.
