Was a Tog conversation in GC where someone had said something to the effect of India had Togs... I know they didn't, was only one Tog II prototype made. But it made me think  about the Tog 1 which became the 1a when they changed the drives right? Anyway that prototype disappeared. Was curious how far anyone has gotten in determining it's fate.. Everything I see about it online says lost to history... Was curious how far the paper trail (and even leads from people who may still be alive that worked on or around the project) went?

It is probably buried in Chobham Common. It's last known location.

My money is in the middle of an untended farm plot somewhere... like happened with a T95.

I wish I was the one who found the T95. It would still be lost.

I was thinking that too, but maybe there's records someone came across or something to know for sure? I mean it's a prototype, one of a kind.. You'd figure if people thought or knew it was there someone would have tried to find it..

I don't think there is any records. It's weird, it's like it never even existed. Someone had to be shipping the tog (pun intended) I guess they disappeared too?

A lot of such tanks got chopped up for scrap or lost which is very sad.

If I were to have found it... it would have been found... of course I'd have been fined for destruction of Federal and Public Property because Highways aren't designed to handle 95 tons.
