I would like to see this one:

Medal of Honor

Stand aganset 10 or more enemy tanks and surviving after losing 50% or more of your hitpoints make it a epic medal. It could look something like this:

download.jpg

That would be something nice to see.

This would be a intersting award cause it would show that when things turned rough you didn't panic you kept your cool and played right, or be it the enemy team failed massively at trying to kill you.

The purple heart I have no idea how to do let's say you survive the battle even after losing half your crew or more and destroy a enemy tank, perhaps?

Look I'm not normally this guy on the forums...but NO.  Sorry bub that award is reserved for the highest valor for our military not good gamers.  Award for that situation...fine.  Use some other name  Same with the Purple Heart

NO on both....These are REAL Military awards given for Extreme Heroism and being wounded in Combat in REAL LIFE!!!!! Lets not cheapen the meanings of the Awards by placing them in a make believe Video game....HM3 Joseph Harris 1983-2002 USN

I agree with the above two posters.  It is a bad idea to use Real World Medals for military service, sacrifice and heroism in a computer game.  Canadian Army 1962-91 retired.

^ This.  Some things just need to remain sacred.   The nation's highest Honor is one of them.

With the addition of all the new little do-dads, bells, whistles, and pretties, I hardly pay attention to them anymore.

This is a game.  The medals you mention are Real Life.  THEY SHOULD NEVER OVERLAP.

It is an criminal code offense in Canada to wear military metals/ impersonate a veteran.  There was a guy in Canada this year that showed up at a remembrance day event wearing a uniform and a bunch of metals that he did not earn.  IMHO he should be punished to the full extent of the law for this.

We play a game here.  The people that earned theses metals risked their lives to maintain our way of life which includes playing this game.

TLDR - NO!!!!!!!

This game has a high veteran population. I think it would be nice to add some harder to achieve medals but we shouldn't name them after real ones. Many people died for the medals you named so getting them for pixel tanks seems... off

Okay, maybe start suggesting alternative names? It seems like it'd be a more advanced version of Kolobanov's medal, the one for standing against five tanks and winning.

I think it'd be a somewhat reasonable idea, so you'd never forget that game (those games) where you carried as if you were multiple people.

Though again, I agree it should not be Medal of Honor, and that later posters should suggest alternatives. I'm bad at them, so I won't. :hiding:

Okay how about we call it the General Patton medal?

As a retired veteran and serving two tours in Vietnam with being wounded twice I say absolutely NO to the CMH or Purple Heart being awarded in this game....these medals are for the real deal, not a video arcade game, these medals are for real soldiers who in many or most cases gave their all and life for this country....it would belittle and degrade these medals to see them in a game....they are reserved for those who paid the ultimate price with their blood and life.....USA 1970-1992

I propose The Noob Medal.  It would be made of lead (hard to move...heavy) and depict a heavy tank being blow to bits sitting imobile behind his teams cap circle.

No, I would disagree with this idea.  I selected the name Audie Murphy to honor a great war hero.  No real medals in a game.

Here's an idea; a medal that is only given out if you single-handedly spot all the enemy tanks, do all the damage to the enemy, and single-handedly kill all the enemy.

No. Stop trying to desecrate something so sacred. IT3 USN 2003-2008.

I disagree with the argument that the use of such medals is so sacred that they cannot be applied in a video game. It's not real life guys, it's fantasy. No one is suggesting that anyone is dishonoured by awarding a pixel medal for pixel bravery.

That being said, if these awards are ever to be given out, they should be so difficult to attain that almost no one can get them. Also, I'd prefer the Victoria Cross instead of the Medal of Honor, thanks. (sarcasm, with a hint of truth - not everyone can identify with American medals as much as their own....)

Oh, and since posting years of service seems to be de rigueur: CAN (RCAC), 1986 - 1998.
