Can't wait for Part 2.

The_Chieftain, were you able to see how the legendary "hunter-killer" system of IS-7 worked?

No, I wasn't. Not enough components left inside, and indeed, my notes provided to me didn't even mention it.

+1 Looking forward to his opinion for the interior.  And if he deems the tank a complete waste of time/money.

And if you thought the IS-7 amount of machine guns could get anymore insane, let me present a proposal for the IS-7:

The single KPV-44 in the back would be replaced with a KPV-44 along with 2 RP-46s.

Unfortunate. I was wondering where the commander's rangefinder would have been.

I'm wondering about the missing fuel filer cap.

Mayhaps you have to turn the turret 90 degrees left or right to access it?

Correct. After we finished filming, we did a serious hunt for the thing.

So bessides Rus Bias why did they make the cheeks 30mm thicker? Also why did they take away any frontal turret weakspots? Chief did they ask you at all? Do you get any input in anything tank related in game?

From the outside it looks like they wanted a already massive beast to not even worry about 450mm heat rounds when Hull down. It actually is bar none the best hulldown tank in game, where as before it was 2nd? Probably still first.

Also, Chief did you do any measurements of pike etc? The angles look much diff than wots.

Heh , those external fixed MGs'. I guess if you were roadmarching w/ guntube in travelock and ran into infantry ( too stupid to run like a b!^c# w monsters like that clattering towards them ) , it could "cutloose" w 4 forward firing MGs.

Then , when in fighting/buttoned-up, the rearfiring turret MGs' would work as "backscratchers".

Again, thanx Chieftain, you are a singular individual in History , showing the World WWII AFVs'(+ others) , outside-in. It's been done in lotsa books, but you "let us see what it's like to put 'hands on it' ".

it might not have a filler cap nor main tank but they might use external tank at outside of the tank... or you called it as "inflatable fuel tank"...

video at 3:40 and after...

you see steel and rubber lines?  track it... OR if you can access the engine bay... look at the steel line (diesel fuel supply line)... and track it... i am sure that you can find where the main fuel tank is then see inside...

Chief would the MGs be used for hosing down the tank if infantry got at them? It seems as if they're purposely set at specific spaces to make it nearly impossible to get on top of the tank and knock it out.

Great! I finally get to see the inside of my favorite tank in WoT! I can finally have daydreams of working inside with a crew, where I just don't imagine that the inside looks slightly like a mix of the IS-4's interior mated with the rear end of the Object 907's casemate lol.

IS-7 in game has massively ahistorical gun depression for some reason.  IRL it was -3, in game it's -6.  DAV mentions that one of the prototypes had a mere 1.5 degrees.

Most uncomfortable.
