Well yeah I am mostly play for fun but I am very interested in game mechanics and statistics which is why I do this kind of stuff. If you don't like it then you don't have to read it, but this was just as thorough as other reviews out there because I did my homework.

I haven't gotten to play the 111 yet, but I tell clan mates the 112 is a good tank if your planing to get the 113 as it gets you use to it's armor and angles.  The 111 doesn't really do this.  The WZ111 1-4 and IS8 are like the tier 9 bastard childs that doesn't really match up with any other tanks of there lines.  Than again most tier 9's are like this.  I'll prob get it as I can grind up almost all those nations except the Japanese one, cause I only have that tier 10 line done on my SEA account.  Only line I went up past level 5-6 for when I'm over there for work and the NA ping is so bad.  I'll end up getting the 111 in January either way cause I do collect tanks and it would be nice to have another tank to work the crew on until I decide to ever push out of the 110 on that line.

...isn't owning a tank somewhat required to be able to do a review?

after a few hours of playing them I felt pretty confident about its weaknesses and strengths of each. I don't think I need to own them if I can play them without having to buy them myself.

How are people getting the WZ111 already on the NA server? Played a battle a bit ago against one. Just curious.

for 70 dollars they could get it without having to play the missions. In most of my IS-6 games I see them

I have the IS-6, WZ-111, and have tested the 112 *planning on getting it soon*.  To me they all feel the same.  Weak gun handling, meh reload times, 1 sec longer isnt much to these tanks usually.  The only major split is the armor tactics you need to use.  IS-6 is keep from giving them flat surfaces.  The WZ-111 is hide lower and keep pike straight.  The 112 is hide lower and keep angled. If you put good players vs each other in all 3 tanks it would about be 3 way draw.

IS-6 turret is weak and easy to pen, its hull has easy drivers hatch, and often times easy to hit flat spots when people turn.  The WZ-111 and 112 both get superior turrets but with larger cupola ontop, they also get better UFP then the IS-6 but much worse LFP as an offset.

The main drawback of the 112 is the fires from fuel tanks, but honestly that lower should be hidden at all costs if you know that even if you have to take the shot in the side.  The FV-215b had same problem with engine fires, so i protect its lower at all costs and it is still a great tank.

None of the T8 premium tanks are bad tanks when you use them right.  People say the SP is sh*t but it works just fine for me, if you keep moving and dont just sit side onto everyone like 90% of the SP I see.  All you need to decide which to buy, is what nation do you want a crew trainer for, which tactic style do you want to use, and how much money you want to spend, and do you want pref mm or not which these 3 tanks all have.

And the UFP on the WZ-111 isn't weak, it is weaker then the 112, but the 112 has a plate no T10 can pen when used right. IF your UFP on a 112 or 113 gets penned you werent angled right.  My WZ-111 bounced 5800+ dmg in 1 game already since I got it, and has bounced a bunch of T10 guns shells like IS-7s when my friends who dont have pref mm 8s toon with it and drag me up.

I can tell you that the 111 is a lot more fun then playing the IS6.  It's a bit faster and can side scrape like a beast.  I would compare it to a quicker IS6.  has about the same troll armor.  I really like mine and have had a great WR in it.

Something that might be overlooked:

The 112 is one of the only tanks in the game where I feel that CO2 in the fuel tanks is absolutely necessary.
I haven't tried the WZ-111 yet, but if it does not require CO2 in the fuel tanks then that is a huge win for that tank. That precious third equipment slot can then go to GLD or something and that will amplify the WZ-111's gun handling advantage.

My 112 right now is running Rammer, V-stabs and CO2. I'd absolutely love to throw GLD on there but I just can't. If I take it off I'm almost guaranteed to catch on fire twice per match.

Planning on getting a 112 soon. If the 112 hull armor is anything like the 113 hull armor then fires should not be happening that often (meaning the lower plate should not ever be exposed when you are in position). With the 113 I use optics for the third slot but definitely GLD for the 112.

1. What is the exact reload of the 111 with rammer, 100%, and vents?

2. 112 would probably be better for newer players as it has more armor and lets them survive better

3. Thanks for the comparison, very helpful, +1

The 112 may have better upper hull armor than the Wz-111 but that's where the part about it having better armor ends. The WZ-111 is much better than the 112 at side scraping because it has IS-3 like spaced armor, possibly even better spaced armor on the side. Angling your upper plate works until you can't hide it's lower plate then you would wish you had the WZ-111 to side scrape out of that situation.

Can't really answer the poll since I don't have a 112 but since I don't really like the WZ-111 I chose the 112.

honestly I prefer my IS6 over my WZ-111 cuz it gets essentially the same gun with faster rate of fire, still has some ok mobility along with good armor.

The 112 is awesome. Period. I bought it when I was new to the game and had wallet warrior syndrome. I sold it, and now that I know more, got it back. And I'm glad I did.  My stats in it our on the way up, but holy cow this is beast when angled.  Some tankers replied that the IS6 is the best, and it is good for sure, but I have smoked more IS6's in a head to head fight, and even IS3's.

I think the only downside is that you should start off with HEAT and then switch to AP when the targets are not so heavily armored.  What a difference this philosophy makes.  When facing the IS6, shoot his turret next to the gun with HEAT. He will bounce his return shot (when angled of course) because 112 turret is stronger.  AP should work fine for the IS3 roof, but the reload is so long, better to be prepared with a good pen round than the 175.  Once the heavy brawl is done, use AP for the mediums and damaged heavies who are now exposed without cover to hide lower plates.  Good comparison.
