Hmm perhaps it's personal opinion but the map's a bit unbalanced for tournament play is it not? Feels like one side has a much better vision/cover advantage. I haven't really looked into it hard as you can tell lol but, if im wrong, I love hearing the theory-crafting so rip me a new one if you need to.

Pub wise it is unbalanced, team wise it is not.

In coordinated play each side is good enough.

I have a question who do I message remove players from my teams roster after we have applied to play, Sadly a guy left... After he made a commitment to play.

Thanks for the fast response! :great: HBFT!

Any roster changes that need to occur can be sent to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com.  In addition, any player that is not a part of your Clan will get removed prior to the start of the event.

There are 48 teams which met the entry requirements. Since 40 teams move on to round 2, that means that 8 teams will be eliminated tonight (and the other 40 will earn 2,000 if they get at least 7 total points). Tonight's matches will be used in seeding the groups for tomorrow night, when only the top 2 in each division will make it through to the playoffs, so play your best to get the easiest road to success tomorrow night.

Tonight's matches begin at 5:00 PM PST (8:00 PM EST)

Many of us played this map for the first time tonight.

We would like to provide you feedback that this map is terrible. The explanation would be that my e-tank shins feel bloody and bruised like I've been forced to run laps in a well stocked coffee table shop blindfolded while using my own yelps of pain for echolocation.

We had a 5-way tie for the 39th spot, so there are 43 teams moving on to round 2. Based on the feedback we've received on this tournament series, the way that these situations are handled has returned to the original way - a 5th group and a 10-team tournament bracket. This will cut ~40 minutes off of how long it'll take to play the matches as opposed to 11-team groups, it'll add 20k gold to the prize pool, and it'll be slightly easier to make the playoffs, however you still need fight for the higher seed to get the easier road to victory. In case anyone's wondering, the Map Exhibition on Northwestwas the last time the play-in bracket was used.

So here are your groups for Round 2:

Group 1 Group 2 Group 3

Esprit de Corps
ROXY Gaming
-THM-
Cães de Guerra
Death Krieg [DKAC]
Havok
Tundra
=VX9=
BR4WLERS

If We Lose Blame Ryan [OTTER]

How do payouts work?

- 1st-4th place has no change

- 5th-8th place is still 20k Gold, however teams in positions 7-10 based on round 1 and round 2 points will have to fight to take these spots

- 9th-10th place will payout an new prize that wasn't in the original listing, 10k Gold.

- Each team in the table above still gets the 2k Gold prize, as long as they have a total of 7 points between group stages.

If there is a tie for one (or more) of the 2 spots from each group that moves on, the tiebreaker matches will immediately follow group play. Captains, we will contact you via in-game message if this is the case.

As a reminder, here's how the bracket looks:

Good luck in your Round 2 battles!

GG tonight OTTER, but with you winning all matches, surprised at your view of the map. After our match with you and JIMBO, we were able to tweek a bit of stuff and win out. So i think the Map is a fun map, and would be a nice new addition to CW's

I'll be adding a poll to this topic, but I'd love to see you guys/others who played elaborate on what was good and what was bad about it? And Allu while that is vivid, what was it about the map that bloodied up your shins, and how does your e-tank get shins?

The format was good, but there were a number of teams (mine included) that showed up a bit short handed. The battles were usually short and intense, typically decided by heavy armor pushes through the west side of town. I only saw one team try a Batchat blob strat (which worked). Seemed like IS-7 and E-100 fire teams were the top performers.

Personally, I loved it, it was fast paced and the quick reset time of the matches kept you moving right along! The action on some occasions got very chaotic, which was quite fun! Thanks to FOXEY and BUNEH for some great matches and showing us how the pros do it! :B

The bchat blob only worked once against us the other 2 times it was tried they weren't used effectively.

Nice BlackFlaconJC...I like this map. from my limited experience with this format of CW tournaments, this map takes away the need for Arty and to a degree TDs...
