Nice BlackFlaconJC...I like this map. from my limited experience with this format of CW tournaments, this map takes away the need for Arty and to a degree TDs...

Arty and TD's have their place but it's not difficult to negate the impact they'd have.

So found out tonight that chaos works pretty decent in breaking up heavy armored pushes on this map. If you can draw the battle from massive vertical pushes along the railway and engage them in small little fire fights horizontally all over the map, you can use the indecision it causes to pick off people one by one in local firefights. Meta really seemed to favor IS-7's and T110-E5's for their mobility, HP pools, firepower, gun handling, and ability to flank using the city streets...

BTW, well played tonight BUNEH! That was a nail biter finish!! o7

Brackets are posted, congrats to the top 10.

This was actually the first time a team from each group has been flawless through both both group stages. If the tie was unbreakable (such as this type of case), order was randomized. No team was put into the play-in round based on randomness. There was also a tie for the 2nd spot in Group 1 - from the head-to-head result, Havok moves on over ROXY.

If you haven't done so already, please vote in the poll at the top of the topic, and leave some feedback on what you liked/didn't like about the map.

Good luck to all teams tomorrow. If you make it into the semi-finals, make sure your captains check their private messages on the forums.

Best I can tell, I think they just took the groups from tonight and put the winners into the bracket from top to bottom.

Was there any actual seeding?  Or was it just luck of the draw in terms of where you got placed for the groups tonight?  Because no disrespect to any of the other clans still alive, it seems pretty asinine to have a scenario in which RELIC and OTTER would meet before the finals.

Hey, it says Day three guaranteed 20,000 gold. But that is for 5th - 8th. We had 10 teams advance to the 3rd day. So my question is will you guys give 9th and 10th place 20,000 golds?

Why does Havok move on over ROXY when we have more total points? I thought the points from Round 1 and Round 2 were totaled to determine who advances.

Just would like to clear that up.

Apparently the points from Round 1 determined who moved to Round 2, but that's where it stops making sense.

I'm confused by it too.  Hypnotik said there was a tie, but while we never lost a battle, there's a team (BOLD) on the other half of the bracket that we beat soundly last night but has much better seeding than us going forward.

You have a better seed than us. So you are guaranteed 20,000 and we have to beat W-D to get 20,000.

It is top 2 teams of the bracket. You both got 18 points so the first tiebreaker that they use is who beat who other know as H2H. Havok beat you that makes them win the tie.

I understand that, what I do not understand is that of the 5 teams fighting for the last 4 spots ROXY Gaming has the most overall points. Wish they would have taken that into consideration.
