Got a griefer today, he smoked our arty in the spawn area. Turned blue so I shot him to stop him. Got a -1 for the kill.

Low-level battles are sort of...fun this way. Tier III match, this Su-18 loads in with an already blue name. Immediately shoots another artillery piece in spawn for a -1.  I take him out with my Marder and then he spends the rest of the match wondering why I killed him.

Apparently he literally did not understand that killing teammates is both tracked and automatically punished.

They better check on this, I saw a player turn blue and they hadn't killed anyone.

Maybe it was bug where just me saw them because after my tank was destroyed I watched them and none of my team was attacking him and no one ever said a thing.

Other than loading as blue (meaning serial killer), the most likely way to turn blue is to hit friendlies in bases. It can be friendly base, enemy base or Encounter. Team damage done in base has an astronomical modifier because its presumed to be either spawn killing or cap griefing.

I had one like that last night. Someone shoots me square in the ass (not far away from Lakeville base). Turn around it's a blue D2 50m behind me. Killed him, reported for TK, moved on. His kill count was 0, mine -1. In the end I got compensated for T/D. It's all good.

I won't kill a blue tank unless:
- I see him shooting/killing a teammate
- He shoots me

It's incorrect to assume that a blue Player has killed more than one friendly.  I accidentally finished off a teammate who was about to get killed in the enemy base and I turned blue.  One errant shot and I was blue for the rest of the match.

Started a game with a KV-1 who immediately started shooting us up.
Tracked one guy, damaged my engine.
I was in a churchill and I killed him for it.  It took a while, now I'm blue. :(

Blue name in the Garage and I assume blue name in games for other players to see.
So blue for one kill, but a lot of shots..

The reason I killed him cus wanted to know his name to report him for team damage, asked all chat for others to do the same and they did.
Sucks and prob what the troll wanted.

My next searched will be how to find out or show player names instead of just tank names.

Have to let time pass for it to go away.

You realize that the blue player may have reached that stage accidentally...if you kill them, you are actually damaging your teams chances of winning.  If he is actively shooting your teammates of course...then feel free to dispatch them with great haste.

I am now blue in my garage. A light tank at begining of a match rammed me numerous times; the fifth time I shot him once (taking him down too 9%). I then ignored him. He shot tme 10 times, no effect,  as I continued too head too enemy cap point. Then his friend a large TD killed me...all team mates. I was killed because he rammed me and his friend must have been upset I wouldn't die?!

Is it common for your own team mates to be such ^&*()?

Honestly, I think idiots get the blue tag in matches for firing right the start of a match.  I see people do this all the time and then hit someone.  I've been hit a few times by people who do this and it drives me nuts.  Happens in lower tier matches more often, of course...

That one shot is not the only reason you turned blue.

You probably had a few other accidental hits from previous matches that finally added up to enough for this last shot to turn you blue.

....you do not turn blue from one shot.

I immediately shoot blue team mates. Why? simple. they are blue because they have proven to reliably shoot/damage team mates. I am not going to turn my back on that player/behavior.

I don't care if I loose a match because I killed a blue tank on our team.

If you don't like it, don't team kill. It's just that simple. I've accidentally killed I believe a total of 3 tanks in all my matches (and I know I've accidentally hit a couple others) and have never turned blue. If you are blue, It's because of your actions/thought process. Nothing more, nothing less.

As I understand it, team damage is cumulative. The more damage you do to members of your team the closer you get to turning blue. The only way I know to remove the blue is to start doing damage to the enemy. In other words don't even think about taking those risky shots. The blue will go away in time. I won't shoot a blue at all because I don't need a -1 score.

you'll get the -1, but you won't get any of the actual repercussions for a TK.

^^ this

I've killed plenty of grifers/team killers that were blue and I've never been punished for it.

If you see a blue: Watch him.

If you see a blue intentionally shooting or even just harassing a teammate:  Kill the scumbag and stop him from disrupting the game any further.

Yes, you do if it is in the spawn / cap zone.
