Better value would be 1/2 price on modules like camo or spacers. Spent US100 on 2 players so far and if the devos are kinder, might spend more!

the picture has lots of mistakes, the E8 wasnt used on D day, no extended exhausts, and what the hell is that platform doing on the shoreline?

so only discounts for this event. wow that's just...that's just s**t
. Don't get wrong it's great for the premium players, but completely useless to the free players. I mean, seriously, I know you guys can do better
#26 Posted Jun 03 2011 - 18:37
It is kind of useless even for premium players.
And considering that D-Day was a huge event, Wargaming epically failed with the comemorations.
I hope this is only a piece of what they have for us.

I've been playing 'free' games for about 5 years now...without us free players, as 'fodder' for the paying customers...they would soon realize they are just pitting wallet vs wallet...and would soon move on to other games. This is the reason most of those free games offer 'bonus' to all their players...no matter whether they are paying customers or not, and it costs them nothing to do so.
Companies offering these games don't do it out of the goodness of their hearts, it's for profit. We free players are the new NPC's. Without us server population would fall dramatically, and the company or game would drift into obscurity. We'd just like some appreciation too.
However, imo, this bonus for you paying customers is not really a bonus anyway...as you're not saving anything...but instead spending 50% more than rather than 100% more...lol.
WoT is an awesome game, but hey, lets face it...there are hundreds of kewl free games nowadays...so they are not 'giving' me anything I couldn't get elsewhere. I chose it because it's awesome, not because I expected bonuses.
Wargaming...please give real bonuses, all your players can receive.

You do realize that premium tanks are pieces of crap, right? And that you don't need additional slots to win at the game? Your complaints would make a lot more sense in the "half price for gold ammo" thread, because gold ammo is the ONLY thing that paying customers can lord over the free players. Sure, paying customers can get a premium, which boosts xp, but the tier system means you won't run into them once they get their new tank. Stop bitching about things you don't understand.

The developers might read these. The thing is your spelling, grammar, and punctuation are so bad that native English speakers can't tell what the hell you're trying to say.

shoot, all these people are complaining over nothing. This is how the developers make a living! I mean honestly, $14 would get you enough gold to buy a nice premium tank and a few slots. Hell even the $7 offer could get you something! It doesn't strike me as something hard to do or as a lot of money. If you don't like the offer so what? You still have an awesome game to play that you payed nothing for. now if you dont mind... im gonna spend my money to get myself something nice...

Okay, I've just got to know. How many people complaining in this thread also complained when the Developers celebrated the first man in space?

Sorry, I wasn't here at the time.
Sadly all WG is doing is just discounts. With D-Day being big historical event of WWII, almost as big as Pearl Harbor. Both being huge game changers for the war and the effects were felt across the world.
they seriously dropped the ball on this one and since this time frame is also taking place on a weekend, they could of done a double exp & credit weekend and still have the discounts. the double xp/credit would've of been much better and would've been felt by the whole community rather then just a limited number of people.

and i agree that we need bonuses for all the free player. this deal is USELESS to the VAST MAJORITY of the WoT population because we dont have premium accounts.
and you guys dropped the ball on commemerating D-Day. give us 500 exp for all tanks we have, double all exp and creds for battles that day(meaning quad exp for first win), and allow us to transfer exp to free off of old tanks for free, no matter if all upgrades were bought, again for that day only.
and all that is just a way of saying thank you to all the non-premium players who got this game reconized.
#34 Posted Jun 03 2011 - 20:48
Cool! I was thinking about buying some garage slots, I guess this weekend would be a good time to do that.

Since when do they have to give premium or free players anything? They've given you a free game afterall... and plus, they gave everyone 50% cost modules for VE day, and free gold consumables. Quite honestly, they are making this game to generate MONEY. They need to buy vodka... seriously, it's a ploy to get people to buy gold, yes. But enjoy it. Want garage slots? Buy them now and you can have more tanks, and thus more fun for the rest of your time playing. I'm sure that there will be free events in the future.
#36 Posted Jun 03 2011 - 20:53
I'm surprised to see the barracks gold price is not in the discount too. I would assume that it is since if you buy a tank slot and you don't have enough place in the barracks, then you would have the option to buy it half price.
#37 Posted Jun 03 2011 - 21:21
Can all the F2P players quit whining? Why would a company give to people who pay them nothing? It is a business... pure and simple. Handouts like some of the F2P people are asking for isn't good business... pure and simple. If you are F2P, then nothing has changed, but if you do choose to support the developers, then you could get a deal. This is probably me being a total ass, but sometimes I wish the welfare warriors couldn't post complain threads.
Yep... I'm definitely an ass.

To any developer listening: Will you be running a similar thing on, say, the day of the Invasion of France or the Invasion of Russia where German and Russian premium tanks are half off?
