A quick review this time on the Type T-34 Chinese medium at tier 5. Not a tank I've particularly liked unfortunately, and its almost all down to its poor gun depression. However get it in the right position and the fast-firing gun can cause havoc!

Yah, nice video. Can't really see why anyone would want the Type over the regular one, except if you are not going through that line. That extra gun depression  can make a real difference. Most everything else is pretty much the same. At least between the Type 58 and the regular T-34-85 there are some interesting differences. Type gets more HP, better terrain resistance so should accelerate better ( except it has less power), a bit quicker for turret and hull rotation, but the Soviet version gets the heavier hitting gun and again, better depression. I have both of the Soviet versions and love both as keepers.

Yeah the T-34-85 is one of my all time favourite tanks. Time will tell what I make of the Type-58 but with a worse gun and less gun depression, its not off to a promising start...

Stats give it better turning/rotation ability. The Soviet can circle about anything out there it meets when you combine turret and hull. The Chinese type might even be better at that. But I've always loved the strong gun to make the T-34-85 a dangerous tank, one that can seriously hurt mediums and chip in quite admirable as a support tank to heavies when called upon.

The Type T-34 is one of my "Mark of Excellence" tanks.
I love it, and honestly like it better than the T-34.

It's not. Not nearly fast enough

Well you're literally insane because there is nothing even slightly significant that the Type is superior to against its Russian counterpart. Not even in the soft stats

Yes, there is...
my stats in it are significantly superior. :P
Prolly because I picked it up whth more knowledge than the T-34, but I'm liking the T-34-1 so much I'm just going to attribute it to the Chinese line fitting me better than the Sov line.

If you like the T-34-1 you'll love this video. I was platooned with a friend and he took his brand new and stock T-34-1 out for his first ever game in it - and achieve this!

I love the type 34.  I have all Camo crew and optics.  It is a great tank.  I'm going to do the chinese mediums.  I skipped them but maybe I shouldn't have.

I'm running the Type 34 with a currently 78% (commander) crew - so loader, gunner, etc at 86%, and the accuracy of the 57mm gun seems almost buggily bad; compared to similar tanks with crew of similar experience, with much stubbier and higher caliber guns, the accuracy is much much worse. The aim time is advertised at 2.3 seconds but is in reality between 5-10 seconds (and yes, I do know that "aim time" actually isn't the time it takes to aim fully...that's more than 10 seconds)...watching the review video in the OP, the player seems to have gotten extremely lucky with his hits, judging by where the aim circle was at when he fired, and my experience of what that means, as far as actually hitting the target. Last match I played, I engaged a bt7 artillery at roughly 50 m, who was poking around a building to shoot at me, giving me a nice big broadside to hit...failed to hit it every (approx. 5) times and couldn't get the aiming circle to go down much between shots, meanwhile he hit me every time he poked, firing less than half a second after stopping. Just a disgrace.

So, did the programmers actually goof something up, here? Its just ludicrous that such a small, long gun can have such bad accuracy.
