LT-15 Mission too hard?

One of the challenges seems to be that every games seems to have 3-5 scouts per side. This greatly reduces the chances of any one scout getting positioned well enough to get 4k. I find myself rooting on the enemy to kill the other scouts on my team so that I can get more spots.

Every scout mission should have:
"TK every light tank on your team."
as part of the mission hints and tips.

indeed. However, scout platooned with 2 arty, and having the scout wait for late spotting damage once the other potato scouts are dead, might be the way to go.

I used to be able to ROUTINELY get 10K spotting dmg with a tier 10 medium on malinovka. one time I got like 13K dmg causing N00BSAIB0T to remark ' wow, you won the game.'
people hope for prok, but Malinovka is the map you want.

I personally didn't find it that hard. Take a pair of tier X SPG's with you and hope you get a decent map, or keep on rolling the same toon until you do. I got mine with my bulldog, tooned with a GW and a CGC on Sand River.
Use what you can to get the job done.

I passed it solo by tracking things about to get wrecked and by spotting 4 arty. Everybody loves shooting arty. Otherwise spotting is hard for me to get because the Bulldog with the auto loader is just begging me to kill instead of spot.

I tried playing my ru251...and I consider myself a decent scout....got close a few times....but I tried like at least 30-40 games in it...
bring out the type 64 after I got blowed up in my ru251...and on the FIRST ATTEMPT...I get it.
of course, if I didn't try to prove a point/hypothesis on Prok I probably could have gotten 4 k dmg spotting refarted players on 1-2 line....but science.

It is the luck of the map.....
I got mine with my Type 64 on Lakeville south. Slid into the bush on left side of the middle road, they did not have an aggressive scout.
Spotted the mess going to the city and my team actually shot them... bingo.
I love Redshire north, Prohovoka (hill side for me).... and always, Malkinova and Steppes.

This has been my problem with the light missions in general. I eventually just started running the Chaffee despite the crap crew I have in it because it was fast enough to beat other scouts to the prime spots and finish the missions.
Running all these stupid lights is absolutely killing my stats. The fact I don't play lights much is part of the reason, but a lot of maps don't really seem designed for scouts or light tanks.

The mission isnt hard, getting a relevant map is. In 2 days of pretty dedicated light play on LT15 the best scout map I had was swamp... ONCE, Malkinova, Redshire and Prohovoka didnt show up at all. That said when I started on heavies I got open maps aplenty.
If it took into account your own damage, as wargaming has changed the light meta to, then good players could do it on any map, as it stands its a ridiculous testament to RNG

Finished it in less than 10 tries I think, got lucky. Active scouting surfing the ridge.
