Luck, RNG and when the program decides you've tried enough, you'll get it. WG should be ashamed of themselves for making players go through [edited]like this for a tier 5 TD. Very frustrating to get for even the best players. New and below average players honestly don't have a chance in hell.

2 hard a mission and storm has statet that skilled base mm is involve when you do a mission. Well that means that i get on teams that knows what they do and dont camp and snipe. Well my spotting is not there when they do it them self. Normaly no problem. But hey thanx wg for getting my win rate up in the lighttank section...... well i just want to finnish this mission.

And offcorce WG implement skilledbase MM i a place where they can ruin your game best way possible......

I spent 2 days and 12 hours trying to get this mission, and I ended up getting it... in my IS8 heavy tank. It's too limited to one map or another, and with the abundance of light tanks and artillery on the health pool is low and spotting damage is shared far too much. This is a poorly designed mission because it's based on a poorly designed mechanic.

which they deliberately all but removed from the game and replaced with a "combat light" meta, it seems exceptionally asinine to go back to a meta that hasnt been in place for well over a year especially when every new map is a city landscape.

I've done 3k spotting in a BP on at least 2 occaisions.  I don't think 4k is impossible to do in a real scout.

I will agree that it's hard to do.  But it's supposed to be hard.

take for example, HT-15, took me 1 try in a E-75 I drove up did my normal 2.5-3k damage bounced some TDs and died. mission done.

TD-15, hard too but took me around 15 games in a Jagdtiger.

MT-15, do I have to tell you how easy that was?

SPG-15, I can do that every other match!

now here i am LT-15 about 130 game in split between my ELC AMX, AMX 13 75, and WZ-131. not 1 time have i made it to 3k even. and it's 2 factors one being me the other the game.

  1. I suck so much in scouts, I never really have played them, especially not like scouts I used my ELC as a dueling tank.
  2. MM, I know it's my fault too, but MM is playing it's part.

I know 2 maps where there are great places to scout for high assisting damage, Prokorovka and Malinovka. once in a medium on Prokorovka I got 6k spotting damage and on LT-13 (iirc) i got 4k on malinovka. in ~130 battles I have seen Malinovka ONE TIME and I was on the south and didn't know any good scouting places until a team mate went to one and got 3.6k spotting damage (still not enough). this mission is getting rather silly, I thought trying to set a tank on fire in my mediums was bad...

I abandoned my attempt to complete LT-15, and went back and re-completed HT-15 and SPG-15 with honors, so the Stug IV is in my garage.

Between 3 scouts per team, scout-unfriendly maps and teams that can't hit what I lit, trying to complete it has not been fun, and has crushed my WN8.  Most I have managed is a little over 2000.  Now I did have some maps (Lakeville this morning) where I lit well over 4000 in enemy tanks, but my team couldn't hit them to save their lives.

This mission is driving me completely insane.  It is way to hard to do counting on your team when they all yolo or do not even pay attention to what you are lighting up (arty!!!!! ;) )

Anyways - I am pissed off with it and think it sucks sh!t.

might be easier after 9.6 (things will have a harder time spotting and hitting you), and they might've set this up with future game changes in mind.

great game but archetypical scout map, of which there are precious few and come around rarely when playing a light tank

gratz though

You still need to be on an archetypal scout map to be able to do it. Most maps have a huge city area where all of the HP goes. Not only is it impossible to exclusively spot tank in that area, but even once the brawl is over there's usually not enough HP left to scout for your team. This is assuming the best possible positioning.

I feel like they are, I've been constantly doing around 3k spotting when actually trying in My RU-251. I am aware that tracking assistance counts, but lets be honest. You shoot the tracks of most players and they ignore what they're shooting at to score damage on a soft little light tank. I can almost never get even 3k in maps like prokhorovka even in the magical E1 bush. I feel like 4k assistance damage should be reserved for the T28 HTC mission. Theres just too much luck involved. Even in a platoon, I struggle to hit that 4k mark.

I thought Serb said "these missions aren't for everyone" ?

It's way too hard for a tier 5 tank, not sure if I'm going to continue to try.

Shouldn't they save the epically hard ones for the next tanks up the line?

I am on the second set.... they do get a bit more difficult as we go.

Good news is you can change the order you do them in which helps with the frustration.

To save peoples time, he gets Prok and gets super lucky, managing to get up to the E1 passive spotting bushes even though he spawned south.  He gets spotted because he shoots (?) he still manages to stay in the spot without dying... then I stopped watching, cuz the answer is: Prok, E1 passive scouting bush, get lucky and people can shoot the reds.

It's entirely reasonable for the higher tier tank missions to have very difficult requirements.  Tier 9 and 10 gift tanks should not be given to the general population easily.  However the first set is for a StuG.  In it's historical config, Without pref MM or premium credit/XP boosts.  There are far too many of the 1st set missions that seem to require high tier tanks and a fair bit of luck to complete for a heap of junk many people will play once and probably sell.

It's all a obvious ploy to keep people playing, trying again and again to get the right conditions to finish some of the more luck-based missions.  Once interest in the PMs dies down again, I guarantee they'll start dropping the more unreasonable mission requirements.

Spent the last 3 days running solely lights to try to get LT-15.  Seems there are more and more stuck on this mission as I'm constantly getting at least 3 lights per side each game.  That, coupled with only a few maps where its even possible to get that much spotting damage and having to rely solely on teammates, make this a very poorly conceived mission.  I've completed all other lvl 15 and none were close to this.....all for only a T5 TD.

LT15 is WAY more challenging than it should be if compared to the other STUG IV LVL15 missions.
