CRDitizens,

Teams drafted!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Last week a bunch of the COs from around the place had some discussions around what we all wanted from a player run campaign flavoured event. Inchon who has way too much time on his hands has created a document which explains the rules and what's happening in way too much detail. You can read it here.

Event Organizers/Administration:

The rules of the event are discussed and decided by JayZ[BULLS], Inchon[ESPRT] and Allu[OTTER]. During the event, Yankee[G] and Hypnotik will join us a 5 vote council to resolve any mid-war disputes or clarifications if and as they arise.

TL;DR details:

  • All references to dates and times are in Eastern Standard Time.
  • 10 clans vs 10 clans
  • Majority of fighting happening in central and late TZ.
  • 2 clans are picked as team captains (will be of equal relative strength, and from the same power bloc)
  • Signups close 10pm Saturday night. Captains will be be picked by
  • Teams will be picked via stream on Sunday 9pm EST on http://www.twitch.tv/selawot
  • Teams will then have 1 week to move into position, with the event starting Feb 15th, the day after Valentines day.
  • The event ends when February does.
  • There will be no tolerance of clans refusing to chip or fight each other due to out of civil war diplomatic relations. If this is a problem, please don't volunteer to participate.

TL;DR rules:

  • There will be 4 HQ provinces, and 36 "normal" territories lined up.
  • HQs are worth 4 pts per day, normals are 1.
  • No chipping of hostile clans on Tuesday and Thursday (moving chips within your teams own borders and consolidation is fine).
  • Team with the most points after 2 weeks of fighting (14 days minus two tuesdays and thursdays makes 10 days of conflict)

If you clan is interested in participating, your CO or prominent DC must state your desire to participate. If more than 20 clans sign up for this, still only 20 clans will be picked in total during the draft process.

Prizes:

50k Gold to the treasury of each clan on the winning side.

3 summer invitational invites will be distributed to the MVP clans during the event that are not yet already invited by the event organizers.

The scoreboard can be viewed at http:/civil.wotmanager.com

Map:

For those that asked, there is no outer boundaries, but only the HQs and the territories with coins will generate points. Your team can be as close to or as far from those as you'd like.

Battle Coverage:

  • Streamers from clans will be encouraged to stream the battles on a delay during this event. Specifics streamers and schedules will be updated during the event.
  • Each night, a video will be created by a team of folks which will cover some of the interesting battles of the day. These will be commentated by myself with a few guest and hopefully the FCs the called the battles.

up the top, click 'data as of...' and set to 1st feb. the last 2 days of data is broken for some reason

you'll note in the recent data there is no otter, or bulba or chai either...

edit: actuall it's broken as hell, i removed that from the rules - the captains will just be able to pick from the pool

is there a mechanism to cancel chips on non-hostile chip days, or is it strictly honor system with DIAF consequences?

DIAF consequences

if chips are thrown, you will be expected to stand down (like civilians)

So team captains could not select 21st clan in rating? Lol

so does it then become like GO? where if 2 combatants chipped a 'neutral' territory in an off day neither would be allowed to advance?

at least I think that's how GO works.

i would say neither team can gain territory not already under their teams control. they can move around within their teams borders, but they can't expand them, into hostile, neutral or empty territories alike. we'll discuss it tonight and get a clarified answer before it begins.
