Is there any way or any software that can be added to allow the use of joystick instead of they keyboard - for the online version of the game (non Xbox/non Ipad)?

a joystic would be a major hinderance even if you did manage to map every in game command.

the inputs are just not compatable at all. much like why no one in their right mind would play a competetive FPS with a joystic.

Use a joystick?  Why would you want to???  HOW would you drive & fight a tank with a joystick?

Try using a game pad which is better. Use your mouse for targeting and the other functions for the pad. I believe there is some software out there that allows this for WOT.

Look at the Razor Orbweaver, Nostromo they both work great, and they are controllers/ game pads. But I do agree with you and think that they should add software for you to use a PS3 or Xbox or USB hand held controller with it and let you configure they buttons to which you want for each one. Not that you have to use every button that is in the control setup like map zoom (=-+) Cruse control buttons don't have to be in there. They can still be attached to the keyboard controls. Just setup the hand held controller to drive left analog(or Dpad), fire (X or bumpers), switch reticle(triangle or bumpers), and view( torrent rotation, artillery mode)( left analog), reload( circle or bumpers) ETC..

I fully agree with RangerMike6's question: I want to use a joystick in the left hand just to drive the tank instead of the keyboard buttons, and still use my mouse in the right hand to control the camera, turret and fire. Is there a recommended simple joystick and software for this? The idea is only to substitute the drive controls with a joystick: Forwards, Backwards, Left & Right Turn. I would still use the keyboard to repair the tank, change shells, etc., unless extra buttons on the joystick could be programmed to do this too. I hate the keyboard! I always fat-finger the wrong buttons in the heat of battle and get myself blown up in consequence.

logitech 3d pro is  fully programmable, however i had issues programming certain functions to it (i would get a "mouse-only" error message) i lost the use of my left hand in september '16 and need a one handed do all system..

multibutton mouse just doesnt fit the bill.

if i find a solution i'll post it
