E3 - Day Three

stranger's Photo stranger Jun 10 2011

The third day at E3 Expo was the brightest and the most impressive, with lots of  people crowding by World of Tanks Booth. Newly-minted WoT fans came earlier this  day, hoping to play WoT more and hit best scores set on previous days.

Visitors got into the spirit of the championship and took their turn  several times, believing that this time they will improve their results for sure  and will win Wargaming.net prizes. It stands to mention that a hand-designed  laptop by Origin was awarded for taking first place, iPad2 for taking second  place and a set of gaming accessories was given for taking third place  (headphones, mouse and pad).

The struggle was very tough and complicated  as players kept in mind all useful information provided during developers'  master class, held on the second day of E3 Expo. The rapid course was conducted  for a reason since E3 warriors played at high level, improving their results at  every turn.

Meanwhile, the leading WoT showman enlivened the show and  rejoiced our comers with first-rate performance full of jokes and tempting  actions. He did a great job, keeping up the public interest and commenting on  what was happening at World of Tanks Booth. The top awesome moment of the day,  Apogee of the day so to say, arised when he climbed onto the tank and started  throwing T-shirts and other souvenir relics by World of Tanks into the enormous  crowd of visitors, who were already chanting "We love World of Tanks" at the top  of their voice!

While other booths had to settle for the dispersing  swarm of people, World of Tanks was filled with gamers and representatives of  gaming leading companies till the last minute.

Finally, on the last day  at E3 Expo developers had a photo session at the Booth, and each pic displays  perfectly all the positive emotions that the team experienced during this  thrilling and surely inspiring exposition. Wargaming.net developers love their  work and are deeply interested in the in-game warfare of World of Tanks, doing  their best to brighten the game day by day.

Although the nominees and  winners haven't been announced yet, we are glad to share our first award - Best  of E3 2011: Hidden Gem that we received from GamePro Magazine. The development  team expresses gratitude to all players of World of Tanks, it is you, who made  it all possible! We will make every single effort to please you more and make  the game a perfect place of pastime! And although the exhibition has demanded  tremendous efforts, the team has already started preparations for the Hug the  Devs for Real! event, that will take place June 10 from 6 till 7 PM (local time)  in CHAMPIONSHIP LOUNGE BAR  (you will find more pictures here) of ESPN Zone.  (Address: ESPN Zone, Championship Lounge, 1011 S. Hidden gem defiantly sums this game up. I had no idea about this game until I saw the tanks parked out front Monday and then played it on Wednesday.

I now have 11 toy tanks and like a dozen disks to give out to friends.

Boy, it is gonna be quite a let down for them.

If I understand it; they were allowed to play upper level soviets. Wait until they try to grind thru the tiers.

Now, it is obvious they would have to grind through to those levels (that shouldn't be a surprise); but they are sure gonna be shocked by by some of the... less refined aspects. Aspects which should have been addressed before this game hit release.

<_<

well, maybe involvement by more players in the US ( and their quick abandonment of the game... which I hope I'm wrong) will bring the devs to address those issues.

Who gives a crap about E3 expo!
Now all the members see where our money is wasted!
Promoting crap like this.....When you can't even provide a lag free server for your North American & Canadian subs.
WoT your Pathetic!
Spend our $ on providing a equal lag free battle field gaming site for all......Not lining your pockets!!!!!

Way to go Wargaming.net and more specifically World of tanks crew, Kudos on the originality of the boot and how did you rekindle an interest in good ol' tanks in this era of gaming which focuses on un-fought conflicts in the future on foreign lands or planets. Keep engaging the gaming world and authorities with your awesome work and I guess everyone would love some of this epic level work to be brought to us, the gamers, the ones which dedicate time and effort to polish our skills and make life in game and at the same time we give life and polish the game itself.

Thank you very much for your time guys, this is a wonderful yet stressing work to have; hang in there and keep the Tank's power coming!

The only thing I am concerned about is this: Can the new servers/routers handle the inevitable influx of new players from this showcase at E3? Hopefully, the massive amount of expected people from the conference has been compensated for and expected by the devs. E3 is pretty much as large as a conference as you can get for video games. A large amount of new players is inevitable.

the grind? You're saying it like it's a job... Didn't you have fun "grinding"? It's part of the game, part of the fun!!! I love this game! What "issues" are you talking about? Lag was a problem for a week or so, now everything is nice and quick. If you experience lag, look at your setup. Why are people such a cry babies? I mean if you don't like the game so much, go play something else.

i agree, but the gold and premium price needs to go down slightly...  or have a $7-10 a month subscription. with better maps and game modes.
