"Base reload" does not mean "stock gun reload". It means the reload for the mounted gun without any modifiers (rammer, vents, BiA, crew major skill level, etc).  The ZJ OTM reload reads the gun mounted on the tank (this is visible to the player, you can look at the model and tell which gun it is using based on it's physical characteristics) and then displays the base reload time for the mounted gun. For example, if the tech tree data says gun X has a 10 second reload, and you see  Gun X fire in game, it will start counting down from 10 above the tank. The reload could be 9s due to rammer, or 15s due to a poor or dead crewmember, but it will just show the base reload of 10s. It does not "data mine" to show you the actual reload of the given tank, it just counts down from the value shown in the tech tree.

Ah, lol....

I have been using ZJ's, since whatever it does it's not 100% accurate....  Thanks for the further info.

BTW, there is one problem with what you said.

Are you sure it reads "mounted gun" and not simply top gun?

Because the other day I noticed a clear error.

I faced a T29, the count down was giving me the top gun countdown so I go to do a driveby shot in my light, and he shoots me when he still had about 4 sec's or something left in his countdown, and the amount of damage he did was clearly he had the lower gun attached (I didn't notice the actual gun on the tank, but the time he shot and damage made clear the gun).

I'm using 060 version of ZJ's. (higher versions are time limited).

Thoughts?

Sorry, I have no idea. I use "info panel" in Aslain's which displays the tanks armor, weight, mounted gun info, etc and I always see that the info panel reload time and the reload time as per ZJ mod match up. Keep an eye on it. Do you have a replay?

As the title says, Pigeon_of_War says it's legal http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/425974-legal-or-illegal-mods/#topmost

So who has one?

To make sure, I asked WG support.

He's a low end peon.....  You got wrong info.

OTM reload is perfectly legal as long as it shows "stock" reload of gun, without skills or consumables, is within viewrange, and doesn't data mine info.

We all also thought it was illegal as well until we got the above clarification from Pigeon_of_War.

Also, if he needs further evidence, while it's not North America, he can check the Asia Banned Mod listing which has further clarified what is legal and not legal about the mod..

In real war you are taught to use "TAKE EVERY" advantage, no matter how small, cause u never know, what it will take to come out on top. So as the old adage says;

whats good enough for the goose, is the good for the gander (Gander = a male goose).yes, spelling lacks but have a Tripits waitin on me so I'm hurring. Sorry

ZJ's shows reload time for ammo racked / dead loader. Is that legal?

Totally agree with this in war.  But this is a game.  What about game balance?  Or is it everyone else's fault for not learning about, finding, and using this very informative mod?

Serves em right?

Must be nice to round a corner into 3 tanks to fire, knowing you're safe to do so.

I guess if everyone had this ability, would that add or take away some enjoyment of the game?

I do believe this mod is a cheat if for two reasons.

  1.  if it does account for crew experience because it will give away some info about the players skills and also when they are going to poke out to fire. it will explain more if you think about it also (KV-2)
  2. if this does show a longer count down for the auto loaders when he has unloaded his entire clip. this is a big factor that will give away when the auto loader is just trying to hide and run away

I'm not really sure if these parameters are in the mod or if this mod is just a general kind of timer when a person shoots and it will give a timer count down from the stats of the tank from the garage as a base value.
