I believe so as well.
Unlike battleships, tanks are cheaper to build, easier to hide, and harder to hit.
The psychological shock of a few dozen or few hundred 50-ton beasts rolling down the plains in broad daylight is still useful.
They are not invulnerable. But anything that can knock out an MBT will demolish just about anything else that roams on land.

they will be a necessaity on the battlefield as a long as other nations continue the use of them.
