Will the MBT have a use in 20 years time

Thunder Run was a ballsy move.  It could have easily gone very bad in a hurry.

Oh no doubt but the point is that ballsy or not armor still has its place and showed its importance in Iraq. My point is that armor still has its uses even in conflicts against third rate powers.

I believe so as well.

Unlike battleships, tanks are cheaper to build, easier to hide, and harder to hit.

The psychological shock of a few dozen or few hundred 50-ton beasts rolling down the plains in broad daylight is still useful.

They are not invulnerable.  But anything that can knock out an MBT will demolish just about anything else that roams on land.

they will be a necessaity on the battlefield as a long as other nations continue the use of them.
