Is there a way to buy Gold with a CC and not allow ultimate pay?  I let my kids play and want to be able to let them get gold.  I don't want them to have the ability to just click "buy more gold"  and run up my card.

Try using a prepaid credit card for the amount you wish to buy.  Others have said those work to pay with.  The question then is... what happens when you have this on your profile and the kids click to buy more gold?  I would guess it would not be approved, but you can give it a try first to make sure.

How about telling them they aren't allowed to buy more gold?

Easy:

Step 1: Run down to Walmart
Step 2: Go to a Register, look for that rack with all the gift cards on it.
Step 3: Pick up the package that says "Walmart prepaid Visa" (costs like 5 bucks or some crap)
Step 4: Check out (at this time you should be able to preload it with whatever amount you want)
Step 5: Go home, log into the Walmartmoneycard.com website, register for an actual visa card with your name on it. (you can still use the temp card you bought at the register at any time, the permanent card is just easier to use)

Congrats, you now have a prepaid VISA card, usable anywhere. You can NEVER go over a "limit", you get charged just under 5 bucks a month to use it, you can reload it online, at any Walmart register, or over the phone.

This is what I use for my "gold buying" account, that way my kids can never run anything up. If I or they need gold, I just go put a fifty on it or w/e.

Or you can use the Paypal option. It asks you to log in everytime you are at the purchase screen. If they don't know your paypal login, they can't finish the transaction and nothing happens. :)

Presumably they are 13, if not older. Surely they understand a thread.

Or, Ultimate Pay could just not save the credit card information - it never asked me or indicated that it was going to keep my CC information stored so that one click is all it would take for my card to be charged

Alot of people have asked for UP to unstore the CC info, and for some reason they're balking at the idea and not doing it... completely ridiculous...

Ultimate Pay is still saving my credit card information - I'll give it a few more days and then I'll have to contact Visa about this

The human race isn't exactly known for being honest.

Children, adolescents, pre-teens, and teens aren't exactly known for being smart.

Unfortunately, a lot of adults aren't either.
