Since *someone* decided to make their region changer only available to donators who give them $5 or more, I have reproduced it myself (in a lazier way because I didn't feel like making a real program).

http://www.mediafire.com/file/sr0ydq32bo544rx/Region_Changer_0.9.18.0_1.rar

Install instructions:

- Extract the folder and batch file directly into your WoT directory (generally C:\Games\World_of_Tanks).

- Run RegionChange.bat, and press the appropriate key to select which region you want to play on (NA/EU/RU/SEA), or to remove the modified region files.

- Play WoT

You're not allowed to give me any money for this.  HA!

Changelog which is getting too long

Well, I don't know who's launcher are you referring to but it really hurts my feelings too... as far as I know mine doesn't even have a donation. :arta: btw, not trying to be rude or anything, but you do know there's like 3 region changers right (including yours)? :hiding:

He's not talking about yours paologerochi...  You've been a solid dedicated rock.

He's talking the other newer guy that did a good product, and then has just picked up and went to a famous mod pack, and become a "pay only" option (well an extra ONLY donators to the mod pack get).

Hey.... Sorry to hear that you haven't gotten any donations yet.  I really recommend that you put your mod on all the other Wargaming/WOT Forums, and also submit it to various download sites (the later I have to do myself still, and even a couple of the former like the other language sections/forums).  I mostly created the accounts to be able to post and support my mod pack in relation to various mods, not advertise.

I think it was your mod I used myself a long time ago to create accounts on all the Wargaming Forums, two like required 10 and 50 games or something to be played, but it didn't take long, in order to be able to post on the Wargaming forum.

I just went into games then went out.

You also need to have your own Webpage to indicate basic info, FAQ's, have the download link, and indicate your desire for donations and have donation links.

I haven't gotten much myself for a small # of users I have, but I have gotten a decent amount for the #, plus a little from ad fly links.

So, this is really I think why you haven't gotten any donations.....  You need to do these things to get more people to know about and wish to support you.

Don't fret my friend, you're really the only guy left making a quality product, and it should be out there (sorry to the op, don't want to use a bat file, LOL).

You seem to only provide the product here, NA is like the worst for getting the word out for mods.

I can understand that, :P.  The nice thing about them though, it it's a lot easier to tell what exactly a .bat will do, vs. the .exe one that isn't freely available anymore (since you can just read it in notepad).

Alternately, if people have some idea of how to use mods manually, they can copy the files from the RegionFiles/(na/eu/ru) folder into res_mods/0.9.8 on their own.  The .bat mainly just gives an easy way to remove them for people running real mods as well, if someone doesn't feel like checking which individual files need deleted.

Not a russian mod this time? Those russians use to suddenly close their topics to sell their mods.... just like stupid bossbox and his colaborators.

Tbh, I've been trying to find info and details on the manual method for WoT region change. If the client files are unchanged and the process only involves copying and moving them to the right places, I don't see why a general FAQ for this in English is almost non-existent - unless someone can point me to a link somewhere.

Personally not a fan of .exe automation since it's an easy vector for malwares/trojans, despite all the assurances. Don't make it easy.

The files involved are the following:

res/loginapp_wot.pubkey

res/scripts_config.xml

res/scripts/client/account.pyc

res/scripts/common/constants.pyc

res/scripts/entity_defs/account.def

As long as you have those from a copy of the region you want, dropping them into res_mods/currentVersionHere will do it.  It does seem that they get changed for some reason in updates (as the ones from 0.9.7 crashed the game on launch when I tried them), so new versions have to keep getting posted (which is somewhat annoying, but eh).

What would be really nice is if WG would include an option to switch the client region with the launcher, but they may not do that for the same reason they haven't released roaming.

Since at least one person reminded me to do it, this is now updated for 0.9.9.

Yeah, I've got to make another update, since WG keeps spamming mini-updates to fix bugs.  I'll try to have it done sometime today.
