Anyone who ever played vanilla wow knows how important upping your camera max range was. Here's a video of a Russian player in a patton zooming out really far, does anyone know how to do this? Is it a mod?

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=kZFU8pZQBMA

You can see him zoom out in third person at 3:32 or click this link http://www.youtube.c...tailpage#t=212s

Its a mod that he either self made, or got off the russian forums, either way, it would be cool if someone shared it as well  :Smile_honoring:

I don't know. A lot of stuff there I haven't seen before. The aiming reticule in sniper mode, the tank skins of other tanks, etc..

But his commentary was great. Don't be ashamed to use auto aim lol.

Didn't notice anything special about the zoom - I can zoom out to that range without any mods.
As for the skins - they're custom skins you can get from a number of Wot skin sites.
Same for the sniper scope view - again just a custom mod you can find easily.

Back to the OP question - zoom - again I can zoom out to that distance without any problems. Perhaps it's related to what resolution your playing at?  (e.g. 1024x768 or other - I play at 1920x1200 I think - not sitting in front of it at the moment).

I cannot zoom out anywhere near that far in 3rd person or 1st person (his sniper view is zoomed back so much 1/3 of his screen is black scope border) and I am running maxed out at 1920x...something

hate to burst a bubble, but that's a M47, not 46. the lower hull is similar but the 47 used a completely different turret and the noly real difference between hulls is the 47 didn't have the bulge on the upper edge of the glacis plate, whereas the 26/46 did

I think that zoom out you are looking at is an illusion created by being in between 2 tall buildings. Looks like the regular max zoom out otherwise.

I know the skins are custom mod. But as far as I know, the game only renders the skins for your tank, not eveyone elses. In that video, there were two or three tanks with custom skins, not something I've seen before.

I like that sniper view, anybody know if it's a public mod and where to get it?

Actually, when you install a custom skin for any tank, such as the Tiger II, then every Tiger II in a match will have the same skin, yours as well as anyone else driving the same tank.  If you also have a custom skin loaded for another tank, say the T29, then all T29s will have that same skin, even if you are not currently driving one.

I am hoping that when WG gets around to adding the Paint Shop that you can have a custom skin for your own tank and you can see the custom skins that others are using for their tanks too, rather than all tanks of a particular model having the same skin all the time.

I downloaded this mod awhile ago, and recently found out it was illegal.

Now I cannot find the file anywhere on the internet, so I don't know the name of the file (to be able to remove it).

Does anyone with the mod or that has used it remember where/what the file name is?

Just backup and mods you want to keep and re-install the game
but delete the game folder first

lul what??

The m46 patton in game has the ability to mount the m47 pattons turret.

Hull is completely the m46.
