To use m3 lee you should act like a Tank destroyer. All you have to do is stay back and snipe. Just make sure you have bought the best gun for the tank and support the other tanks. Also if you want to go up and fight make sure to NEVER GET TRACKED YOU WILL DIE! This will get you alot of credits but not much exp. I usally get 200-400 exp a game and at least 4,000 credits. The most i ever got with the m3 lee is 10,000 credits! And make sure you go to the m3 lee first if you want to get the m7 because most of the guns and tracks and radios are the same on both tanks!

I hope this will help you:)

its not that easy, you can't hurt heavies and will be killed by any other med most of the time, and light tanks will always, get behind you, there is no solution to killing with this thing, and 4000 a match, come on, you need 250000 to get a t1 which still isn't that good, also that means you need to play atleast 63 games, and that is if you win them all, and get kills every game plus, artys can one hit you and if they don't they will take out your tracks.

been using it like that, a TD, when I had one in beta. it's better off in a defensive role, like all TDs should be

THe best Lee advice is to use a TD when you want to play TD, and when you want to play a lee, jump over it with free exp and play the sherman or t1....or die trying..

hugging arty with the right side seems to work, the gun is on the right so you can shoot them and they can't shoot you becasue the lee is so short lol. works with td's too.

I grinded past the Lee. Not my favorite tank but it did work sometimes.

The best advice for learning to play a Lee is to ride shotgun on the ones who are still alive when you die (as they obviously know how to stay alive longer than you at least) and see what they are doing.
If I can average 400 XP and better than 50% pretty much anyone can...
For the record I use two tactics.
Long range TD against multiple or high tier targets, crazy kamikaze guy against smaller solo targets!  It is interesting how many people just try to run by instinct and you follow them around shooting them in the ass!

The Lee must be l33t.
I hope to get it soon. And I hope it isn't a deception as the T-28 at the beginning.

It took me 115 games in the Lee to get both the M4 Sherman and the T1 heavy. I can't remember a happier WoT moment than when I got the T1 so I could sell the Lee.

Man I hated the Lee in beta.  I don't like to play td's either which is why I probably didn't like the lee.

The m3lee is the worst tank i swear you get one shotted by hetzers outarmored by amx40s its just a terrible tank however the tanks that come after it are a different story

I loved the Sherman in beta but I just couldn't get past the M3Lee now - ended up rage selling it finally and moving on to another nation. hehe

I sold the Lee twice before researching the T1 Heavy, which i shouldn't have done, just lost credits there, because in the end, its not such a bad tank. The best "tactic" is just to stay with the largest group of players and stay in the back and support, even if you are the top tank (which doesn't happen very often). The only positive thing about it is the fast reloading gun. :)

I'm gonna go ahead and say yes use it like a td in fact it's a more rumor version of the T-40 in my mind ..lol it is a bit hard to use after coming from the other light/medium tanks but the reward of a wonderful M4 Sherman or T1 heavy is worth the long grind trust me once you try the M4 with the turret and M1A1 76mm you won't be displeased or even the 105 even after they Nerfed it...still fun hearing that massive boom or the 76mm machine-gun it will be your new favorite!

I'm far from an expert Lee player, but having just unlocked my M4, I'm still keeping the M3 because it's a fun sniping tank and such an underdog that you kinda have to love it.

It's really map dependent but on any of the wide open ones, you've got a good chance so long as you find cover (preferably a big rock on the left side with a big bush on the right) overlooking a chokepoint or approach. This lets you expose only a small part of the Lee (thanks to the sponson mounted gun) and if you do it right, you'll stay hidden pretty well and the accuracy of the gun lets you pick things off at range.

You *will* learn to hate/fear the KV, but the high rate of fire from the gun plus its accuracy lets you really do some great suppressive fire and give your teammates a chance to flank anything you don't put down directly.

You will also die a lot. Guaranteed. :)

I still play my Lee on a regular daily double rotation. As posters above have stated, treat her as a tank destroyer but when the time to push comes you can play as an assault gun. Try to approach the targets on your 2 o'clock.

Things might change when they activate the turret (hopefully longer sighting range as well as the 37mm). Hope the 37mm gets the same depression range as the M4.

I like playing the Lee for the history.  So many pictures of this thing rolling across the desert in WWII.  Real GIs had to figure out how to fight this thing, I like trying follow in their footsteps.
