I don´t get it all the hate This is very neat option for players who want to experiment the game without having to wait hours to download the client. Its like a "Plug and Play" feature.

New players have it way to easy these days. They get 100% crews to start, us old and old-ish farts had to start with 50% crews. We had tier 9 mediums/TD's even tier 8 SPG's. The Maus was relevant for more than notch strats, and the T30 was a boss heavy tank. Tank Companies were boss, pickup games actually existed, Europe was the CW's map. No credit handing out missions, I even saw a Type 59 on sale....once ( Should have bought it, I didn't know it would be the last time I'd ever see it. )

Now they don't even have to wait as long to see if their comps will run this da***ed single core ( C'mon guys really? ) game.

Too easy.

I think this is a fine idea.  Helps new players get exposed without a huge download.

All those complaining.  Holy crap, go find something else to worry about.  Good lord.

Will the mini-client run in series with the same servers, or will it run separately, truly segregating the mini-client players? I can see some compatibility issues, such as messing up dynamic platooning - for instance, I invite Noob_1 and NotNoob_1 to a dynamic platoon, and one is running the mini-client. Would mini-client players be identified somehow? However, if the mini-client runs in parallel, queue times would be untenable on NA.

I guess this is a good way for newer players not to get seal clubbed and play against evenly matched players who are also new to the game.

But, couldn't this have possibly waited, I mean there are other big issues in this game like.... Arty, Arty, the Waffen E-100, arty, and last but not least, arty.

Remember when you could not go off the edge of a cliff?

The game is always getting better. Sometimes at a snails pace.

Releasing news in these forums is like trying to push a wet noodle.

Earlier this evening, I was actually having fond remembrances of those invisible cliff barriers. The ability to safely cliff-hang in places, without worrying about going that millimetre too far, had its points.

I hope it becomes popular.  It would be nice to play this mode over ones lunch break at work and not have the longer (although it's not excessively long now) load time of the regular game eat into a 30 minute break.

When I saw the headline, my first thought was, "Hey, this isn't April Fool's Day!"

I like the idea of a mini client with limited vehicles, maps, and modes for a small, faster download experience.  The mini client isn't made for us, much less you who belong to the PC gaming master race.  It's made for those on the fence who wonder what this WoT thing is about and don't know if they would enjoy it but don't want to download a bazillion GB application just to find out their computer can't handle it.

However, it would also be nice if they did for the main client what they do for the WoTX version.  When it downloads a new version, when it gets to a certain point, the game gives you the option of playing your Tier I tanks to entertain yourself while the rest of the game downloads.

Sounds useful on paper, but it takes less than an hour to get a tier 3 at which point people will have to download the full client anyways.  This is pretty much only relevant to people who want to make a seal clubbing alt.

for those wondering, with the mini client you can only play in tiers 1-2, but tier 2 can see tier 3 which means their models are included in the client, but are not playable.

The guys poking fun at that must not have thought very hard about it.

This 'mini- client' is a DEMO of the actual game. People are complaining that it only goes upto Tier 1 - 2 and it might show abit more...... that is by today's standards is what we ladies and gentlemen is called a DEMO. If your complaining that you wont be able to go further up the tiers then DOWNLOAD THE FULL GAME and quit your whinning.

If you are in tier 2 tanks you don't see tier 4 already. That's why Tier 3 is included but not playable, matchmaker. Exception being the T2 Light, which I will make the assumption is also included but not playable. This seems like it is the full game but only the models for tiers 1-3 so the file size is small... so demo seems accurate. They have gone from 1 client everyone uses that they couldn't keep the bugs out of to 3.... Wargaming Logic you so funny!
