This has probably been talked about before, but oh well.  Is the long 76mm on the KV and the KV-1s any good whatsoever?  I know people people say use the 122, and I do, but the reload time is a pain (Already know about rammer and loader training).  Thoughts?

If you're planning to continue down the Russian heavy line I'd definitely learn to get used to the 122's reload time, as most of the higher level guns (107 and beyond) are going to put you in the same boat.

The 76 is slightly worse than the L/48 on the PzIV; slower rate of fire, and slower aim time/tiny bit better penetration and damage.

It's not a BAD gun, it's an average gun for a medium tank.

But that's just it, it's an ok gun for a medium tank that can move to avoid shots, and hopefully do damage over time. In the tiers the KV is likely to fight in, it is going to be one of the SLOWEST tanks. Doing damage over time is a death sentence to the KV, since it will be damaged just the same.
