Thanks for the up votes..
I may suck at tanks but by God... I can program :)
What I need if anyone is up to the challenge is a good C++  programmer to take over the development of the FBX.NET wrapper. I dont have time.
It is the Wrapper I use to export the files in FBX but the author has not worked on it since it was put on https://fbx.codeplex.com/

The newer versions of FBX has functions that would make my life a lot easier... but because I programmed the Editor and Terra! in Managed code, I cant get at them with out an updated wrapper for FBX.
All the code for FBX.NET is at that site to download to continue work on the wrapper.
There are MANY people looking for a good wrapper for FBX and FBX.NET works.. but is outdated.. If you work on it, many will use it besides just me!
Why Autodesk doesn't support .NET I have no idea. Micro$oft dropped support for OpenGL in .NET long ago.
I guess they think you can't write anything serious graphic wise in that language ...however, as my 2 apps show.. they are wrong!

I get an "Huston we have error string slip has less selections than primitive has objects" every time I try to load a tank, and If I try loading the chassis or the gun they don't load in the proper locations, like the gun is under the tank.  And, small things like wheels and tracks do not load the proper skins

ok my fault I just checked and u have an update to 28, but I still have error codes loading: error code images wont load or found but they do load, gun still loads under the tank, "most models have a limit of 65535 verticals, I will try to use 32 bit pointers but you may want to back up"  but the object does not load

Thanks for the info... Can you post the text from the exception at CURSE in the forums or send me a PM there..
I need this info..
Where you are located (US.. Russia..)
What make and model video card you have and your windows version.
This will help me figure out the bugs.

Also.. Try version 29.1 and see if that works.. 29.0 was did not upload properly and 29.1 has some bug fixes.

Thanks :)

We are at 29.2 and waiting for it to be approved.
This added some nice things and fixed a few idiotic bugs caused when I added code to handle the WoW files.
Blah.. ***t happens lol

Could someone please help me with exporting World of warships models? I've been trying to export World of Warships .PRIMITIVES to .OBJ or .FBX -format.

Neither of them doesn't work. FBX-export doesn't work and OBJ-export creates faulty file which cannot be imported to Blender or neither 3DS Max.

This app is undergoing a complete re-write.

I no longer play World of Tanks or any games for that matter.

I recently had a heart attack and life for me is not the same.

Because of my health, I am working on the rewrite when I feel up to it.

Anyone that wants to follow the development of the re-write can go HERE

The first part of this is getting the program to work with World of WarShips.

This has been tough to figure out but 99% of it is complete.

Off topic but important:

I have said this many times and will say it again..

ALL DATA IN THIS GAME BELONGS TO WARGAMING!

This includes EVERYTHING.. Music, Maps, Models.. Images...

Anything downloaded or purchased from Wargaming is Wargaming.NET's property!
You can NOT used it for anything but personal use.

I saw someone selling rigged 3D models from different games at a site online and I am telling you right now... THIS IS ILLEGAL!

It does not matter that this person give's the original source of the data.. IT IS NOT HIS/HERS TO SELL!!!!!!

As a software author, I can not tell you how much this pisses me off!

With that said..

I have never wrote an application with the intent to steal or harm some one or a company and I never will.

My goal is to add .. not to take away... To make it fun.. to create, explore and learn things about programming.

I rarely visit these forums so if you want to contact me, send me a PM at CURSE or at the site I linked to above.

Happy Gaming and happy holidays.

Coffee_
