That said, Stalkervision is effectively trolling us, and I'm going to issue an official warning to that extent

I am shamed that you feel this way... D:

We did massive jamming of Vietnamese radar and command and control signals with specially designed aircraft called "wild weasels' It helped in the beginning but Soviet radar designers soon fixed that problem and we were back to square one. If MP theory is correct that never would have happened.

And you do realize the American pilots in these early anti-SAM missions described their jobs as YGBSM "You've Gotta Be ***** Me" because the damn pods never actually worked?

@Chieftain, why do the M48 Patton tanks have the egg-shaped hull, but not the M60? I've always wondered that, ever since my days working on M48A5 and M60 AVLB tanks in the National Guard as a 12B.

The idea was that there would be silica-based armor inserts which could be incorporated into the hull and turret. (Hence the turret on the M60A1 got a bit more wedge-shaped). In a similar manner to modern Chobham armor only coming in straight lines (Hence the shape of Abrams, Challenger, etc) silica-based armor also required straight edges. So they built the M60 to accept this new armor. It was never actually implemented, but the shape of the hull and turret remained the same.
