I think you probably need to assess the intent of the models. I'm a modeller myself. Overall, I think WoT has been a boon to modelling, as it has been the impetus for a bunch of new kits like M6 or M103, as well as a bunch of paper panzers like Lowe. Italeri are not exactly my go-to company for kits any more, but though simple, they're rarely 'bad'. As a result, they're a good introduction to cross over from online to 3D modelling. I would think that folks who are interested in modelling their WoT vehicles are probably not likely to be very serious modellers, but people who want to make the model for just a bit of fun, something to put on the shelf and not competition, but even then from time to time I don't mind making the occasional 'brainless' kit, where I don't have to futz about with photo-etch or individual track links, and just spend a pleasant, care-free time putting something together. Given a WoT-insignia model isn't exactly realistic to begin with, it's a perfect kit for such a brainless build.

That said, I just picked up the Finemolds Chi-Ri WoT kit from my trip to Japan. I'm curious to see how it turns out. Individual track links. <sigh>

I used to build models when I was a kid and would have liked these back then but I haven't built a model for like 40 years now.

It's not too late to start!  I just took up the model building hobby again in February after a 20-year hiatus and am really enjoying it.  So far I've built several - Tamiya M26 Pershing, M41 Bulldog, T-34-57 (modified from their T-34-76), T-34-85, now building T-55A; Academy Easy 8 and M48A5; CyberHobby (Dragon) M46 Patton. Once you start it's kind of addictive! My model building skills are still pretty limited, but I'm learning all the time and my builds are getting better.

World of Tanks is the spark that re-kindled my interest in tanks, WWII/Cold War history, and scale modeling.

Ps. I do NOT own an airbrush and am still able to get nice paint jobs. I use Tamiya or Testors spray cans for the base coat and regular flat acrylics or enamels for detail work. Airbrushes are great but you don't have to have one to build a nice model.

I'm in the process of building a Panzer V Panther Ausf A. I use the Tamiya modeling kit. I generally paint, then lightly abrais with steel wool, to give it a rougher honed look for markings.

Havent started my ME-262 yet. Should I post pictures when Im finished with them?

I just bought an M4 Sherman kit from Hobby Lobby. With the 40% off coupon, it was $26. The tetrarch code worked! It says on the box American server in the "In game bonus code" seal. It was also says American server on the code card. Expires December 31st, 2016!

Italeri just came out with a new Easy 8 "Fury" kit that supposedly has all new tooling and tracks.  Looking forward to getting my hands on one, but unfortunately I don't think it's tied in to World of Tanks.

Guys I have been buying these models off eBay for awhile now. Buying from eBay they ship around the world so those of you outside the USA can get them.Of course they come from Europe so the bonus codes Do Not Work for the NA Server. I am sure the NA code models will be available on the online market soon. I just bought the WoT Italeri 1/35 scale PzIIJ from a seller in Germany. And I also bought a few months back the 1/35 scale PzIIJ with WoT branding from a model maker called ARK Models (green & white box) from a seller in Canada. I believe ARK also has a WOT Valentine.

Would it be possible to create the Japanese heavy/super heavy tank line as models? Anyone else agree with me? I would buy the Type 5 Heavy Tank.

So, other the Hobby Lobby, anywhere else we can get these in the US?

I looked on Amazon and the prices were through the roof.  There are what look like some reasonable prices on eBay - for models that are overseas but will ship worldwide.

We can now actually buy Italeri kits, including the WOT specials, in the US from http://www.italeriusa.com/.  Prices are reasonable, too!

Thank you! Those are reasonable prices, i just wish there were more 1/56 scale to chose from!

I play Bolt action, which is in that scale, and these seem like a decent want to bulk up my German forces ( and give me some side benefits as well!)
