I am seriously tired of having beaten the enemy to a pulp with 2 or 3 of my team mates left in slow heavies with 2 minutes to go only to have a single scout/arty running away hiding and we can't cap in time so the match ends in a draw. Clearly if a tank is running away from battle it is our victory.
Why does it end in a draw? It serves no purpose to them except to grief the victors. If it ended in our win they wouldn't get a repair bill any more than if they just ran away, they are just being jerks to not give us our just rewards. Think about it, we went through all that trouble; took all that damage; fired all those shells, it all costs credits, only to be denied our rewards because of some jerk/coward/deserter. They should be punished, not us. It is seriously demotivating to commit so many resources to a battle and earning a worthy victory only to be cheated like this.
If it was 1v1, sure, draw. If it is 3vs1 or more, victory in our favour. Make it happen.
If time ends but you outnumber the enemies = victory, not draw

Victory is only achieved by destroying all enemy tanks or capping the enemy flag. Until they make a different game mode this won't change, unforunately.

horrible idea. what if one team has a is4 and the other 3 hummels? is4 would win. bad idea.

Its a decent suggestion. However we need to prevent camping as much as possible. This would making camping a lot worse.
In clan-wars where a draw for the attacker is a loss and no land gained. WOT is a completely different and more aggressive game.
Another thing that will help reduce camping is a game mode with one flag in the center.
I understand that your post was not about camping, but that is the problem that is causing the problem you mentioned "draws".
Regards
Tan.

Fantastic idea!!! Would also help with the people who seem to be unable to figure out where to go in matches

Why do people downrep my post just for bringing up a suggestion? If you don't like it, post your thoughts. Downrepping is for when people are being douchebags. Please learn to use the system properly. This isn't reddit.
And if you don't want campers in the game then stop making/change maps that reward people for doing so and punishing them for not(Malinovka comes to mind). If you keep making maps with bushes/rocks on either side and a huge deadman's land in the middle all people are going to do is camp because they KNOW if they go out there they will die in 0.2 seconds. If you have to duck from cover to cover over a relatively short distance only giving your enemies a short time to hit you, that's fine, but when you have no choice but to cross 500m+ of land with no cover besides a little bit of trees......people are just going to camp like crazy.
Incidentally that was the map in which I had my last BS draw. two KVs and an M4 on my team and just a low level arty left on the enemy team and it ran away up the hill into the woods with 1 minute 30 to go. If we didn't have to camp on our side of the map for 80% of the match we would of been closer to their base to cap in time or kill him. Being aggressive just would of got us killed(like the rest of our team)

Sorry, but I have to disagree with this thread... If they lasted long enough to draw it, then they deserve the draw... They cant help that the rest of the team got killed either from doing something stupid or that they didnt get the team support during the fight and was out numbered at that map location...
I say, if you can holed me off that long, more power to you!!!

A win needs to be earned. If you didn't get to the cap with enough time to hit 100, then your team didn't deserve to win plain and simple.
It means that your team tactics/strategy failed. The time limit is known before you start, the victory conditions are also known, if you can't meet either requirement then you don't deserve to be "gifted" a win for failing.
This means your heavies failed. They either camped too long, didn't move when they should, didn't attack when they should have, were not agressive enough, were not good enough to break the enemy defence, didn't react correctly to the situation etc.
