Hey guys/gals.

I really enjoyed grinding through the SU-5, but just seven or so games into the SU-8 I already hate it. The accuracy is atrocious and is just going to kill the fun of grinding to the SU-14. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do or module that may help? I am using the 152mm right now but the stock gun was the same.

Thanks

Get better crew, aim better? The SU-14's accuracy is not much better at all, I would say it is a step down in terms of accuracy. Sometimes you can only hope for decent splash damage. I would invest in a gun laying drive. Most high tier artillery are very inaccurate, except for the M12 and Object 261.

I agree with the above. The last fun piece of artillery I played was the SU-26. The SU-8 is a fine gun platform but as Mow said you have to start relying on splash damage or hoping to get an opposing team that is not anti arty savvy.

The SU-8 in my experience is a very finnicky piece of equipment. Getting your crew to 100% definitely helps, as well as investing in a rammer and gun laying drive. What I've found helps the most is forgetting most everything you learned in the lower tiers, because the SU-8 is vastly different from every piece before it. Although i wouldn't say you need to rely on splash damage, it is definitely much more useful than it is in lower tiers. Shooting at moving targets is also mostly a terrible idea, focus on bigger targets. Another thing I've noticed is that some games every shot goes right where you want it to go, but other games you cant hit a barn from the inside. honestly, the best way to play it is to just play it and notice what works and what doesn't and to understand that some games will be terrible, but others will be much better.

       Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies.

theguy17, I like what you said. I can tell depending on terrain and angle how my shots need to be aimed/aligned differently with the enemy tank. I can see getting better with the tank as time goes on and need some patience till that time.
