There are a few threads out there, but here are my suggestions. Because these vehicles are just awesome beyond words and fit the game's timeline (Once M103 and T-10 are added, anyway)..

Tier 7: 90mm Heavy Tank T69 prototype. (The sign is incorrectly labeled)

This tank was built sometime between 1953 and 1955. It used the hull from the T42 (The prototype for the M47), an oscillating turret and a 90mm gun with an 8 round revolving magazine.

Tier 8: 105mm Heavy Tank T54E1 prototype.

This tank was built sometime between 1953 and 1955. It was built on T48 (M48 prototype) hull with an oscillating turret and a 105mm gun. The picture shows the same tank with the M48-style cupola, which was fitted in 1956.

Tier 9: 120mm Heavy Tank T57 prototype.









This tank was built in 1955 on the T32 prototype's hull. It utilized a 120mm gun in an oscillating turret with an 8-round revolving magazine.

Tier 10: 155mm Heavy Tank T58 prototype.









This tank was built in 1955 on a T43 (M103 prototype) chassis and mounted a 155mm gun in an oscillating turret with a 6 round revolving magazine.

I believe these would fit the "fast heavy" scheme that the Russian and German trees are both getting. They're unique with their oscillating turrets (French will have these too on the AMXs) and they'd add a lot of variety to the US tree. Much of the components (The hulls) are already in the game, so they'd actually take a minimal amount of work!

Interesting tanks, ive seen these before I think at Aberdeen Proving Prounds...The designers have a thing for tanks having to have been in service during the Korean War, that said, the M-47 would be about topps there, as there were several of those sent over to Germany during the Korean War. The M-103 would be about topps for the Heavys if that timeline is to be held to. Several tanks, including the beginnings of what would become the M-48/M-60 series began development during Korea, but I dont think that counts according to their timeline here, we'll see...time will tell!!

The way I see it, they're adding the M103, which entered service in 1957, so that widen's the envelope a bit. Not to mention the T110, which is still mostly classified even today.

It's a pretty simple concept. Instead of suspending the entire weight of the gun and it's mounting on the spindles that connect the gun mount to the turret and let it elevate and depress, you elevate and depress the entire turret.

This allows you to carry a bigger gun on a lighter tank. This also allows you to depress and elevate the gun more since you don't have to worry about the breach hitting the floor or the ceiling of the turret when it recoils.

I agree they should add these but tier 7 is too low. It should branch after tier 7, maybe after the T29 and end with the T30 on 1 end and the M103 on the other.. T30 is a heavy tank and should not be moved to the TD line. I know the some of those tanks you posted had a fast auto loader... It might make an interesting variation in game play to have a tier 9 heavy tank with the M46's 105mm that fires with a really quick reload speed.

I'm pretty sure the second US TD line is an indirect response to the branched lines for US and German heavies.

Having said that, with full knowledge that this would make the sides more "samey", perhaps this route would be a better execution than a second TD line that has a few made up vehicles in it as is.

For what it's worth, I really like the aesthetics of these vehicles, especially that T54E1. The T58 is kinda ugly though.

US - 42
Russia - 57
German - 51

Even with the Christie tanks the US is a bit behind in tanks.

This looks like a good basis for a second branched line of U.S. heavies, which the U.S. will really need.

For tanks like this, I'll buy gold to get more garage slots.

I think it's in Wargamings best interest to add as many high tier tanks as possible. More high tier tanks = people on premium for longer, people playing the game for longer, and people transferring more free XP.

The US was never quite as into fielding a plethora of different models...

Your original post did nothing but state the obvious. If they fielded a, "plethora of models", we really wouldn't be scouring to find them, would we?
