The game doesn't need more autoloaders.

This would be kewl.

However the devs have already said that the American's won't get a 2nd line of Heavy Tanks.

Supposedly they've now reconsidered that possibility.

Have they?

Honestly, I could see this route being extremely beneficial to them. And a lot of the work is already done.

I know Cheif was going to talk to them about giving us the T42 (M47 prototype) as a premium. They'd have to remake the hull, but the turret's already in the game (on the Patton)

This would give them the basis for the T69 and all they'd need is the turret.

For the T54E1, they already have the hull (On the T110), all they'd need is the turret. T110's hull could also be recycled for the T54E2 as our tier 10 Medium (Which they announced on teh EU forum are coming). I really, REALLY want the T54E2 as our tier 10 medium. I already pretend I'm using one when playing the T110. Lol

The other tanks there use the T29-series hulls and the T32 hull, and the M103 hull on the T57. So many of the components (hulls, tracks, guns) are already in the game. The only thing they'd have to model are the turrets.

That's the absolute beauty about cold-war era US tanks. They're so interchangeable that the modeling task on the dev team wouldn't be that difficult.

Why would you want the T54E2 over the M60 that's just crazy

Maybe the M3 Grant could Be a Tier 5 Medium?

Pretty sure they already vetoed the M60 as ever being an option.  Although, they do change their minds on nearly everything at some point.  Who knows, maybe late Cold War tanks will make it in at Tier 12 or 13 or something some day... :Smile_sceptic:

The french heavy line dont get autoloaders until tier 8, so i think that is a bit unfair to have these since tier 7, where the germans have models from mid-war 1942/43, that even being very powerful for their era, theyll always shown disadvantages against a much later model. Besises, how much armor these tanks have? the french autoloader is a pain in the ass but is more or less compensated by the fact that they have thin paper armor: americans normally dont go SO unprotected, so i think that balance could suffer a bit with this line, unless you artificially nerf their armors to french standards; moreover, shall not be fair then finally giving the IS-7 its autoloader?

Why does that matter?

Why should one route be punished because they get something before something else?

The US routes don't get a 390-damage gun until tier 9. Russians get them at tier 6...So by that logic Russians shouldn't get a 390 damage gun until tier 9?

Wat? The T54E2 weighs more and has inferior protection in comparison to any M60.

From the diagrams you posted in another thread, the M48 hull appeared to have substantially more frontal and side protection then the vanilla M60.

You do realize that the reason the M60 was developed to begin with is that the new cannon on the 1956 version of the T-54 Russian tank was capable of defeating the armor on the M48 hull?

The M60 had improved shape and armor scheme compared to the M48, that was one of the main reasons for building it.

If you compared LoS, maybe. Due to heavier angling, actual ballistic protection was much greater.

This is a wonderful idea. The other trees have access/will have access to two lines of heavy vehicles and i believe this would be a unique set of vehicles to give to the Americans as a second line of vehicles which, in my opinion, they need. The T110 is outliving its usefulness (Don't get me wrong, its a delightful vehicle, and i love driving mine) and a second line would give the US the extra 'umph' they need to keep up contention in the arena that is World Of Tank. I hope that the Devs see this thread and similar ones that inhabit the forums. These would be a nice addition to the WoT battlefield.

I would rather have the T58 as a tier 10 Tank Destroyer, move the T57 to tier 10 and put the T77 at tier 9.

Only problem I have with your idea Sklarrrr is... What would happen to the T110E4?  The tank I am currently working towards. :/
