I'm not sure why it is not fun anymore. I just recently got my KT, as you can see from my stats, and I love this tank. The KT is the first tank I have had where angling is probably the most important thing. I read a guide on playing the KT and the user said that moving the front back and forth constantly would help deflect shots. This is true.

The KT has huge survivability increase over the Tiger I because of the sloped armor and health. I can manhandle tanks of my tier unless they are able to get up on me. IS-3 is the best example because I can often pen on them and they will bounce on me from a distance. Up close it's no competition and the IS-3 can walk right through me. The KT finally lets me pay back Lowe owners for so many tiers of advantage  :Smile-playing: .

My KT is stock except for the suspension upgrade which makes the KT dance like a ballerina compared to the stock suspension. I elited my Tiger so I started off with those items (engine upgrade) in my KT as well.

Like most tanks, this one benefits from team play. I often platoon with a friend who has an IS-3. When he gets tracked I jump in and deflect until he gets some repairs. Paired we can handle short and long range. I can't imagine how much more awesome this tank will be with the turret and final gun upgrade.

I sold my Tiger and transferred the rammer and sight laying device for faster loads and aim time. I have not put anything in the third slot yet, but I can already tell you that I will never sell this tank. The only thing besides elite that would make this tank even better is a regular team to play with that knows how to play.

Finally, if you are getting swarmed by T-59, or other mediums who bring you down, then either your team is leaving you high and dry, or they are good medium drivers running a wolfpack. Standard matches are filled with flaps that don't necessarily play well and this can lower your survivability tremendously. Being the last man standing with over 2/3 the enemy team alive means you are going to fall  :Smile-hiding: .

Finally, I didn't hate my Tiger. It was my only real heavy and as such was a training ground for the KT. I had some unbelievable matches and some ones that made me want to quit playing. I would say that 9 times out of 10 it's the team that causes this frustration, not the tanks.

If you didn't Elite the Tiger, then I can see having some issues in the KT. I can not see someone failing to Elite the Tiger when it's commonly accepted that Tier V and higher sucks stock so get what you can out of the vehicles in the tree below it so that you don't have to start completely stock.

Edit: The heavy KT requires a bit of mixed bag for charge/snipe. I don't want to say you are not doing it right, but you are not doing it right if frustration is all you feel. KT has no camo value so sniping isn't the forte, long range shooting is. There's a difference. Snipers can sit camouflaged and not get spotted easily while the KT WILL get spotted by a scout easily. Charging never works without support. You need support to charge. If you can get another heavy and maybe a medium or two to assist your charge you will see a high rate of success. If everyone plays like death/repair costs must be avoided at all costs then your solo charge will fail.

Your other tanks do not play like the KT. I think if you get some decent people to play with that support you a little more you will love this tank.

YES....I 100% agree with you that when you have a TEAM THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING YOU WILL DO BETTER!!!!
But then also it doesnt matter what tank i have MYSELF when the team is good.
What I am trying to say: When I was in games and it was just me (and maybe one other guy) left in our team (because they
messed up) and they are all coming to our base I turned a game AROUND 180 degrees WINNING the game and having
6 till 8 kills myself. And I am talking VK3601 and PZ4.
With BOTH of the tigers I NEVER was the last man standing and most of the games I played in the last few days
I ended with 1 till MAYBE 3 kills till i BLOW up again. With my account back to standard I break EVEN or maybe have 2 or 3 thousand plus left over.
I have worked the Tiger I up to 44% win and the Tiger II to 45%.
This just to respond to you quoting me because I try NOT to talk BAD about those two tanks anymore
since I get punished for my opinions around here!

If it seems like I am punishing you for an opinion, this is not the case :)

Having played a wide range of tanks, and experienced disappointment with many of them, I love the KT.

Every single tank has it's nuances and I read a lot of slamming on tanks throughout all the forums when I am looking for info on tanks I am upgrading to. The only tank I have every played with no redeeming quality what-so-ever is the A-20  ;)

I have not used a crossover line yet to research a tank, so I have had to play every tank in the line to get where I am going. I just wanted you to know that it can get better than what you are experiencing if you are having a horrid time. I know that my win ratio would be much higher if matchmaking kept idiots in a different tier altogether. One thing I miss about my Xbox 360 is the ability to avoid players...

Anyways, I was not trying to slam you, but give you reasons/hope for the KT.

Edit: VK3601 and PZ IV are not fair to compare with other tanks. Both of these are exceptional for their tiering. I sold my PZ IV because of garage space and will probably buy it back. I preferred this to the KV because I like the play style of the PZ IV. The PZ IV requires finesse to play and this is why many just hide behind the brute force of the KV with's it's BS tier VII gun on a tier V tank that makes it a relevant tank for tier 7-6 matches and just straight up OP for 5 and below matches. I don't know what the tiering is of the PZ IV gun, but I know that I probably could not solo big tanks with it like I can with a KV gun that chews up tier VI-VII heavy and medium tanks. The VK3601 H was also a pleasure to drive. I currently have the VK3001 H and I love this tank as well.

kt is better against mediums due to rof and accuracy.

is3 has good camo values and has a better damaging top gun, making it a better sniper than a kt. because lets face it. almost all engagements happen within 300m and accuracy is a placebo stat.

however the kt is better at getting stuck in than the is3, due to neutral steer and a strong front end

Rammer of course. Alot of people like ventilation, and there are quite a few people who swear by spall liner also. If you find that you are taking alot of ammo rack damage, you should invest in a wet ammo rack. I personally love vertical stabilizers and put them on everything that can mount one, so I have one on my KT. But some people don't see the need because the KT is so accurate already, and Vertical Stabilizers is not especially needed for sniping.

I loved the KT. It's one of the tanks I enjoyed most in the game so far. Unfortunately, I felt it suffered most of the 3 Tier-8 heavies from bad team play. It's not as fast as the other Tier-8 heavies (regular ones) so guessing which side the enemies would come in on is crucial. Or, hanging back at base and then moving out once enemy movement lines are established.

This is strictly my opinion after 213 battles in the T32 (58%w/r, tank maxed out quickly due to 105 unlocking with T29), 121 battles in the IS-3 (53% final w/r. 66% with BL-9) and 160 battles in the KT (47% w/r). I thought the KT was the best tank but needed a good team to compensate for it's lesser mobility. This is also keeping in line with my playstyle where I tend to do better with mobile tanks and their ability to compensate for a flank collapsing with more ease.

People keep emphasising on the accuracy of a tiger gun in this game but i would rather have a not so accurate but high dmg gun any time.. for eg. out of the 10 shots... an accurate but low dmg gun hit the target 7 times but did 50% dmg, a lower accuracy but high dmg gun hit the target 4 times but also did 50% dmg... and this is not taking into consideration that the target will move or go into hiding once hit (if the shot missed the enemy might not even know and are being shot at) that you actually need more hit shots to get the same dmg... also given that the accuracy rate is only on such minimal differences...

When engaging at long ranges, as the KT is supreme at, accuracy matters. Depending on the map, you're right, a more powerful gun can be more useful, but at say, 400m, the difference between 0.28 and 0.32 is pretty massive.

Does anyone else find alot of the times you take a hit in the tiger2 your engine eats it? Just happens to me alot even under funny circumstances, like you just have the front end pokeing out from around a corner and theres no way anyone can see the back of you and bam, there goes the engine. Tiger 2 is by far my fav german tank with the highest kills per game of any of my tanks, just think they should have mounted the engine at back covered by armour and not on the outside at the front, haha

That skin is just awesome. Maybe a little over the top....like taking the tank to the club, valet parking and so......
but none the less. Looks cooler than the standard outfit. :Smile_great:

I've played with Tiger 2 100+ games and i like it. After you get the better turret you really can take hits to your front side and just laugh them off! I tend to win 1on1 against T32 and IS3. What everybody said about charging is right, you just get killed. I love the 105mm gun but cant afford it. 105mm eats your credits. one 105mm shot costs 4x 88mm shot and deals less than 1,5x damage. I think i'm stuck with 88mm because i don't have premium. If you keep your distance, you can challenge almost any tank and in close combat you should still be able to fight of your tier tanks. one BUT, don't play peek-a-boo 1on1, and try to avoid in different circumstances as well, you will lose because your low damage. With 105mm you can peek-a-boo too. Almost with every higher tier, if shooting frontal armor, aim low. If in close combat and able, aim the lower part of the frontal armor.

OP states a Pershing and a King Tiger met, where is the source for this? I'm quite interested because as far as I know, they never met upon the fields of war. Apart from the Super Pershing and the King Tiger, Super Pershing coming out on top.

I Love my Tiger2, Definatly never going to be selling this beast.

I'm yet to upgrade my last engine and long 105, however so far i've had no issues going toe to toe with anything up to Teir 8.

Here's a screenshot of one of my favourite matches :)

No idea how on earth i managed 8k XP however :/
