T-34-57. Also the SU-85 is a very useful TD.

For me the T-67 and I have a lot of success with the Russian T-34 medium. That 57mm on the T34 is very nice.

As you can see, there is no single answer because it depends a great deal on your play style and which tanks you are better at playing.

Having said that, go to vbaddict.net and look at the "Tank Statistics" section. You can see which tanks are are at the top of the list for various criteria, and then select a tank that matches the types of tanks you like to play.

T-67 hands down for me.  Can carry a game even from bottom tier.

Derp pz4h is pretty good due to its howitzer acting more like an ap slinger than a normal derp. Tier 5 has a wide range of decent to great tanks probably the best spread in the game.

Same here. The armor is incredible for a tier 5 tank, and the gun performs decently. The KV-220-2 is my favorite tier 5 tank.

My Stug laughs at your armor and blindness. I can easily pen anywhere but your mantlet. I will spot you stationary/camo paint at 369.8m. I use binos, camo net and paint. You wouldnt spot me firing until 251.1m. You will be dead long before you get there. I would also use mobility to to make sure I can control the engagement. I would not even need gold to pen you. I might use though just for kicks.

I fear M4 derps because one lol rng shot will rekt me. If they miss I will tear them up.

keep in mind, we can kill you as easily as you kill us.

but bonus. unlike you, whose tin foil armor can be penned by most tier 4s and all tier 5s.  KV-220-2's armor can only be penned by a select few tier 4s, and only a few tier 5s (provided KV-220-2 is angled).    even tier 6s will bounce on us more often than they bounce on tier 6 heavies(with the except of O-I which can frankly go burn in hell for being an OP #@%)

you might have mobility, but we have turrets.

we have hp

and most importantly. we have tunnel maps that make your camo and view range worthless because u can't get a clear line of fire for more than 200m. (as WG admits..)

the stug will actually bounce shots, its the camo and gun tho that do the deed, one of the few tanks i got the 3rd moe on

doing 5x your hp is normal

i give the (old t49) t67 credit for the turret tho, 1vs1 the t67 prolly wins

this would be an easier discussion if it was by class

the elc is like PMS tho, you never know what your gonna get

O-I Exp or KV-1/220 for HT players, ELC for light tank players, M4 for medium players, T67 for TD players, and Lefh105 18B2 for arty players

I must admit you do have a point there.

Clear lines of fire beyond 200 m exist. They just actually require that Scouts do their damn spotting.

Also: T1-Heavy is best heav-ium Tank.  Ram Kills are best kills. Because no money is wasted.

Pz4 is DerpSlinger +best. because that ap round will wreck your spaced/angled armor that otherwise eats all HE/AT

Also: You get a free bonus turreted TD tank when you mount binocs and the 75/48 on it.

ELC is tier 5 master Race.  best camo, amazing view. Best passive scout. Sounds like an F1 supercar at top speed. dat gun.

T-67's are rediculous. But StuG's are still better. Because only the chosen ones can drive a StuGIII.

You dont pick the StugLyfe, tonker. The StugLyfe picks You!

That new french premArty ... that thing makes me play tier 5 arty again.

A platoon of em and you can rain pain for days !

But the American Tier 5 arty is best. It can really get up and go.

Tier 5 is just a great tier, there's a pile of good machines. It's like choosing your favorite child :) The Church1, KV1, (type)T34, StuG3 and the Bathtub are some of my favorites.

Tier 5 is so fun, plenty of good tanks, usually good mm. Shorter, more active battles on average. Best tier for credit making.

The Stug is an inferior and outdated tank in today's game. A KV220 will carry a game a lot easier than a STUG. The Stug has poor view range, 310, the engine always gets knocked out, and the backwards acceleration is bad. Not to mention you can realistically run out of ammo because it doesn't carry a lot either.

A KV220 has one of the highest W/Rs in the game per WOTLABS.net. The KV220 also gets special MM, and nothing is going to really pen that hull if it's angled properly. Furthermore, they just buffed the engine so it can move a little better now. I watched KV220s on YT completely carry T5 games where a STUG could never do such a thing. There's other reasons the KV220 is better, but you get the idea. KV220 > Stug
