YOU NOW EARN CREDITS AND EXPERIENCE IN TOURNAMENT BATTLES and still DON'T PAY FOR VEHICLE REPAIRS!

The Stand-To is Wargaming’s new daily tournament (named after WWI’s daily face off against the enemy where soldiers were expected to stand ready on the trench fire step, preparing for attack). Now it’s your turn to roll into the fray. So gather your friends, grab your favorite tanks and defend your base. As a daily tournament, you can choose whether you want to Stand-To every day or only once in a while.

All active tournaments can be found by searching the Tournaments Home Page. Curious what's happening this month? Check out our eSports calendar!

Starting this week, a player now has two ways to register for the Stand-To tournaments! When you create the team, make sure that you are using the correct registration!

  • Register as a Team!
    • Registration works the same as normal.
    • Team captain makes a team and recruits players to join.
    • Once the team is complete (team has 3 - 4 players), the captain must submit the team for approval.
    • The team is now ready to fight once the tournament starts!
  • Register as a Solo player or as part of a Party!
    • Register as a Solo player
      • Create a team and submit it for approval.
      • After submission, the team will show as Pending Approval.
      • Once registration has closed, the player will be combined with other solo player(s) and/or a party to form a complete team.
    • Register as part of a Party
      • A party is a group of players that does not meet the minimum team size requirements.
      • For this week, the maximum size for a party is two players.
      • Once the party is complete, the captain must submit the team for approval.
      • After submission, the team will show as Pending Approval.
      • Once registration is closed, the party will be combined with another party and/or solo player(s) to form a complete team.
    • After registration has closed, players are encouraged to check back to find their new team!

Hi guys!!

In addition to the change in registration, we're tweaking a few other little things on the Stand-To's!

Prizes

As you know, we're adjusting our prizing. If you look on the tournament page for Jan. 25th, you may notice that the consumables have disappeared. Don't worry though, they've been replaced with credits! Is this a good change or a bad one?

WGA Employees

If you look at the registration for Jan. 25th you may see a familiar face - our very own Yoott!! Some WGA employees may be sporadically showing up in the Solo/Party registration to participate in the Stand-To tournaments! WGA employees will not earn any prizes if they rank high enough (although the rest of the team still will!)...which means that there's more for you! If you happen to have a group with a WGA employee on a team, then the prizes are doubled!

Good luck guys and, as always, any feedback is appreciated! :honoring:

Awesome ideas, guess we'll see how they work in practice. Seems like a lot more work for yourself though

So how will WG assemble the team with a Solo player or as part of a Party... will any FORM of stats be used?

If this information is classified... not to worry...

Agree- i like the changes a lot :). I think it will make a way larger crowd interested in tournies. Will there be special brackets for teams that are put together of partys or will they have a larger size? I am afraid players will tend more to not show up if they do not know the teammates- can there be like a ban system introduced? Otherwise potentially new players who try out tournies will get unmotivated because of "gold diggers" who just join the party registration and hope their team does the work for them.

I like the credits a lot!

Haha I'm not afraid of more work!! My only interest is that players like it and find it useful :)

Classified ;)

Seriously though, to use stats or not is something that we have discussed and will continue to monitor. We're starting off with a simple model as we don't know how popular/unpopular this will be. Players sign up and are randomly assigned to a team. Stats may or may not be added at any point, with or without notice :)

Only players who sign up under the Solo/Party registration will be combined into teams. There's always a risk that a teammate won't show up, even with pre-made teams. Part of my master plan to have WGA join the Solo registration is that we can more easily monitor what is happening ;) As we've never tried to do something like this on a daily scale, I promise we will be monitoring how it works. If needed, we can and will adjust the rules to fix any major issues that we may find...that's why player feedback is so important!

I like the changes to the registration. Frequently I've tried to get a team together only to come up short. I think this is a good step.

However, the value in credits of the premium consumables was more than the credit prizes now...

This is awesome as mentioned before its hard to find teams, and some don't speak english, which makes it doubly hard to do well. Thanks WG and especially Dance for this opportunity to us solo players.

Respectfully

Wow, so many people are trying to sign up solo and failing, for lack of realizing that there is another step after creating the team...myself included :(

  • Create a team and submit it for approval.

Apparently I read this as one step rather than two, since it was all thrown together in a single bullet point. As in, "Create a team to submit it for approval."

I'm NOT into the credits. Big loss in value. The Premium day is no good to me. I would prefer personal reserves, something I can use when I have the time. The single sign up is good. This will mean more teams, more competition I think. I'm sure someone will figure out how to make it work to their advantage. Someone always does. That will be seen. I would like to see a little bit bigger teams and up to Tier 8 battles. Otherwise Ill keep on playing cause its the only way I can compete on a team because of my scheduled and it is A LOT of fun. Keep on tweaking it, maybe you can find a formula that will make a lot of us non purple players happy. Thanks for all you do.
