GET THIS TANK if you are debating about it.

Much fun, good tank, good stats, good crew trainer, good everything!

Disclaimer: Please don't buy a tier 8 tank if you are unprepared for tier 8 game play as you will hurt your team and your own opinion of the game if you play outside your skill level.

Unless the Ripper Patton has the same trolly turret as the Pershing (which it doesn't), no dice on me buying it WG.

If you want a solid American Medium Trainer, the SuperPershing still reigns as one of the most user-friendly premiums, is a natural deterrent to gold rounds (especially HEAT shells) AND it has premium matchmaking.

Granted, the Ripper Patton has immaculate mobility, but at tier X, mobility can only get you so far in terms of survival....

Well I think they FINALLY got the hint not to "package" tanks with a bunch of crap I do not want.  There were several tanks I would have bought but to be honest I have gold...premium time... and 9 million credits in the bank.  I will now seriously consider buying this tank.

Thank you WG for a smart business decision.

This. I'm still not sure if I'll buy this one, though.

Bought it within 2 minutes of it going into the shop i have only played 2 games in it so far 1 tier 8 and 1 tier 10 but it seems decent enough and it will certainly help with my Patton crews training

That has no affect on my decisions.  I enjoy this tank, I want to play it often, it's fun.  If a tank sucked I will say it sucked.  There are many things I do not agree with WG on and I would betray myself and my viewers if I sold out and "loved everything WG does."

Maps I miss: South Coast, Ruinberg on Fire (while keeping Winterberg [wth])

Things I'm disappointed about: RNG being so controlling, our craptastic graphics while console is winning in that department, lack of physics, bad sound, no destructible buildings, maps being limited in rotation on specific days, the O-Ho....seriously....horrible design by WG.

Was vaguely considering this (even though $40 is ridiculous for a small bit of DLC, which is what this essentially is) until I saw the price in Monopoly Money (aka $CAD)...

Oh well.

I do not want to buy it because I have the SP already which trains my US Med tankers just fine as well as having troll armor, limited MM and a better gold round. I'll wait and see what the general pubbies like me think of it when they actually have to pay for the tank. I think I'll just pass on this first go-round and maybe if it gets good real world reviews and comes around again I'll consider the Stripper Patton.

You're right, but I will say that the Patton KR's ability to make it to battle sooner allows for much better credit making (see my video in my first post).  It also has twice as much HP/ton and a base 310 horsepower advantage over the SP.  The dispersion is also two times better than the SP as well.  All stats grabbed from Tanks.gg.

Legitimately the best tier 8 premium available at the time of making this post.

Please expand on your post.  "best tier 8 premium if you're a run and gun player" "best tier 8 if you enjoy mobility and good gun handling over armor"  etc etc.

If you have any knowledge of how to abuse ridges, how to flank, how to right click and left click, or just enjoy comfort mediums. If a player has any understanding of the game and how to not get shot while supporting on the front or second-lines, it's the tank for them.

ripper has pen

prem income

prem repair(aka less than normal tier 8)

mobility

and no massive tumor

and EPIC gun handling(superior to pershing!)

t95e2

has the worst repair cost of tier 8 (the opposite of prem repair)

no prem income

but its got a more effective mantlet..........with a giant pennable hole in the middle

and has a giant tumor

now thats up for debate xD

CDC has better pen and mobility.

and m46 armor isn't honestly something you'll notice.   but it does have superb gun handling.

so m46 isn't the best, but i guess you could say it tied with CDC for that spot(of the non prem mm ones)

Would be nice to have if I had the money for it which was used to pay for fuel.

I only got one battle in before work but it's a solid medium. It doesn't feel like a gimped premium and while the Super Pershing is a good troll it's not an awesome credit earner simply because you have to shoot premium ammo more often than you would normally in any other premium. The SP is a great tank against those who don't know how to engage it or can't hit the turret ring or top/side/rear but the standard AP round is just not enough to compensate for bad mobility.

The Patton KR is much better at playing like a medium. You shouldn't be relying on armor in one anyway so the lack of armor isn't a massive issue. I did bounce a couple shots but, unless I'm in a type 59, I'm not going to be getting up close and personal with anyone in any premium medium.
