Hello tankers, first of all this is not a hate thread on the waffle e-100! I am just asking the question are they going to replace it? I myself don't think they will and also think they should not. In my humble opinion this tank is perfectly balanced it has not armor, no "camo rating", and it very team reliant in most cases. I only have one complaint about it on the 128 mm auto loading cannon the alpha should not go to 600+ why not balance it with other 128mm guns? (Disclaimer I am not a waffle owner nor a waffle fan boy) But I would hate to see this machine removed from the game and you should too, this tank has helped me complete many heavy tank missions partially cause many "mediocre" players grind to it thinking it is OP and they fail with it and shoot the angled turret of my E-100 =D! The thing people need to learn is how to counter it pressure it during reloads, switch to HE and shoot the turret, and don't try to fight one head on. -_- (if loaded) I really think this tank should not be removed, it is fine where it is as I have stated above the alpha would be the only thing I would tamper with. Thank you for reading and I am looking forward to your thoughts, hate comments, etc.!

        Good luck on the battlefield,

I heard that WG is replacing it with a Waffen Panther similar to the GW-Panther with a direct fire gun.  Can't remember what two guns were said to be on it, but the 15cm was one.

More on shooting HE at the turret you are not just doing increased damage to the machine, you also will probably knock out its gun, gunners, and turret ring.

I'm with you on this...there's no real reason to remove it.  I have one, it was my first tier 10 tank and I was so excited to have this OP beast before it would supposedly be removed from the game.  Then I started playing it...55 second reload?  Ouch.  Switched to the 15cm and while the reload is better you can bounce a ton of shots due to the lower pen and worse aim and longer aim time...plus the interclip is longer.  It simply isn't a tank you can carry a match in like a RUS medium .  Personally I average more damage and more kills per game in my Obj 140.  It can be a terror as a support tank though...but the maps and teams that allow that to happen just aren't consistent.

I do not want to see this, replacing with a tank that seems not comparable at first glance.

They are gonna replace it with a 15 cm waffle without an autoloader, eventually...

This is so true too...my gun gets damaged/knocked out at least once a match.

People just don't like the vehicle because it makes them think more tactically and when they get killed by it, its usually because they poked around a corner in front of it to try and get one shot in but they fail to take into account that it has an auto loader.

I don't care what they do, but I hope they pick a replacement that can't be fornicated by HE shells.

The only reason I don't like the Waffentrager auf E-100, is because it is completely fake (according to every article I've ever come accross about it). I heard they were replacing it with the Waffentrager Panther (which had real, historic plans).

They really need to replace the G.W. E-100, since it wasn't a real piece.

Well many tanks in wot were not "real" as in physically I would estimate around 50-60% of them were not real or not represent in the game as they would have been in real life.

No, I understand that... What I'm saying is, I don't even think it had plans, designs, etc. But of course, like I said, thats only from articles I've seen from third party WoT sites; I haven't actually looked into, or found any historical articles on the tank itself. I really should spend some time looking into it though.

Depends on your definition of "real"

The GW E 100's dilemma is that the potential replacements are all absurdly large artillery

I figure that could be easily adjusted to work well in WoT. For example:

They could take the Czechoslovakian 305mm B20 (a Panther chasis with a 305mm mortar), give it a range of ~500m, keep the mobility of the tank somewhat low (considering we don't want a tier X version of Bert), but high enough to get it where it needs to set up; and limit the number of rounds it can hold to 9. Of course there are other things to worry about, such as damage, splash, and penetration, but I haven't figured out how they could adjust that yet...

Whether WT E100 is real or not doesn't matter, the fact that it is in-game simply shows WG's poor planning before making it available for the masses.

If a replacement for WT E100 is implemented as the FV4202, give players who already have WT E100 a free premium tier 8, some special missions for extra credit, premium consumables and personal reserve items; that would be a good move on WG to compensate player's hard work towards a tier X vehicle.

The replacement cant come soon enough.  Autoloader Waffel is an embarrassment to all Germans.  This sort of trash is more befitting of the french lines.

Why are people asking for another non armored T9-10 German unit like the Grille 15? No offense but what about actually getting a real T10.

When there's a line of armored TDs to cap, then you can have your Jagdmaus
