Hey folks,

I'm at a point now where I can spend my free xp to level up either my Comet or T-29. I'm leaning towards the T-29 as I've hear the British medium line is unimpressive after the Comet and I've heard that the E5 is a "must have" tank. However, I thought it worth while to ask for some other opinions on which line I should push as usually once I get a line to tier 8 i tend to focus more on it than any lines below that mark. For example I've barely played my T-29 or Comet and just now realized that they were getting close. Once I push one to tier 8 though I'll focus on it and try to grind my way up to tier 10.

Anyways thanks in advance for any advice.

I love the AX my fav, but E5 is so good. If getting both is an option then get both. But if you could only get one, i say Ax because it is the sexy-ist tank in the game.

Sexy

I was not a T32 fan but the M103 and the T110E5 are both good.  I am still grinding my Comets XPs to unlock the Cent. I.   I'm not the kind of person who just plays one tank.  :B  The Cent. AX is just a sexy beast.

T32 is love.  M103...more of a business relationship.

Cent Action X.   Get that sexy beast.

Comet was a decent tank.  Centurion I is alright but a good DPM machine.  Centurion 7/1 is either an excellent sniper or flanker.

Both lines are really good, so you can't go wrong. I would lean toward the Brit meds though. Whoever said they aren't good doesn't know wthhe's talking about. The whole line is great, except the Centi, it's a little lack luster, but all tier 8 meds have it rough I think. I kept the Crusader, the Comet, the 7/1 and have a quartet crew in the AX. Great line. If you do the Brit meds, you have the 4202 for a support premium for the crew(s) on that line. It's a bit cheaper than the T34 and is a better match for the crew. If you had gotten a Cromwell Berlin crew to promote up the line, that would be optimal. Also, there is an On Track event for that line now, so you'll get extra bonuses for the next 10 days or so.

The US heavy line is really good too. The T29 is as strong on tier as the IS-3 at tier 8 (that's saying alot!), the T32 is really good if not a little underpowered in the gun department, the M103 isn't the best tier 9 heavy, but it's not bad ... it's a fun easy grind up to the E5 which is awesome.

Basically, you have to decide if you prefer the flanking sniping med pay style or the pure brute force of an American heavy. Choose wisely grasshopper!

American Heavy line will never become irreverent, while the Brit MEd line has been since it was introduced.

It is a personal preference on which to choose. But you post sounds like you are planning to use free xp to unlock the next tank in the tree. I recommend not doing that and just playing both lines till you have the next tank unlocked. Save your free xp to unlock modules on the tier 8s. The cent1 and 7/1 stock grinds are painful.

well because of on track you might be better with the med line

but as for the tanks in the line the T32 and e5 are good(for right now) but the m103 isn't very good, especially when you don't have the top gun on it since the gun is its only strength

My only experience is with American heavy line in this case - which is commonly regarded as very friendly.  If you don't play your T29 at all and have no interest, the T32 may just be underwhelming to you.  It's very funny how the tank line goes from...

IMO:

T29 - good turret, good 105mm gun for it's tier

T32 - best turret,  pretty much same T29  105mm gun but faster reload and slightly better accuracy

M103 - a very large and not to be dependent on turret, good 120mm gun is noticeable improvement

T110E5 - it's OP right now... until WG nerfs it.

I'm working the cent 7/1 and I finished the grind of the t29 a week or so ago... not that I would consider it a grind lol.

but my take...

if you play higher tiers you know how strong the e5 is... that alone makes grinding that line worth it... I'm not a heavy player but I hope to have the t32 this month... the grind of the t29 is very easy, the 90mm with a bit of prem use is great... can get away without tracks upgrade for a while with just the upgraded suspension equipment.... so if you already have the 90mm you really don't need any free xp for the tank.

on the comet... it's a fun tank if you like meds... it's much slower than the cromwell but it's still a good agile tank with lots of gun depression... it REALLY needs the upgraded turret and 77mm gun asap... the tier 8/9 cent tanks are much slower and bigger but good peek a boo hill fighters... I'm really really enjoying them (got the 105 on the 7/1 the other day) but neither are keepers for me.

tier of battle, the T29 is the best of the line, even after its nerf, while the E5 is close after its buff.

the T32 is in that "hevium" mold... not enough armor to be a heavy, and not as slow or immobile as the rest of the heavies.  keeps the nice turret, but is facing guns that can pen it regularly. if you can hull down, then its very respectable, but most maps dont offer that for more than a few moments.

the 103 is the flip armor on top is lost for well sloped armor that is really only useful at long range and the increases to the hull armor simply arent enough to matter meanwhile, you get a great gun, you have to hope your angles work and use the gun effectively or else you lose.

my initial thought was this as well but I THINK he's going to just unlock modules.

if you are planning on skipping a tank the easy answer is don't... both tanks are worth playing though... t29 as mentioned is a very easy grind I just played it over and over and didn't realize I was almost finished... the comet if you find you don't enjoy it at all you prob shouldn't bother with that line.

I disagree that the Cent 7/1 stock grind is painful. It's actually quite nice. I am grinding it right now. (On Track) Averaging 2k damage per game in my first 60 games. That is with stock gun, turret, and only the second engine. I have to add that this is during Mutz Monday and Patton  Week. So many under prepared players on teams led to my team melting on me or we steamrolled so hard that my damage was stifled. It could be so much better.

I have the E5 and really want the Action X. You cant go wrong. Both are good lines. It's up to your play style. If yu are willing to be a little slower to have better armor and alpha damage, go US. If you want to flex a little better, go Brit. I liked my T32, but it is more of a static game type compared to the Cents.

You will be satisfied either way.

US heavy line is good, T32 is one of my favs. UK medium line changes quite a bit from Comet to Centurion I, less agile but more able to brawl a bit. You are in a conundrum having to decide one or the other on two overall good choices. Coin toss says...:coin:
