Registration begins on February 6, 2016 and roster are due by February 16, 2016 . Battles are at Saturday, Feb. 13?

Is it a single tourney? or are there plans to have a serie of such tourneys.

I use a calendar well ;)

If there is interest, the plan is to have this be a weekly clan tournament. As teams/clans participate, we'll be looking for feedback on what to change/add/remove :)

One suggestion to increase future participation...  Increase the prize pool.  Less than 1000 gold per player plus the credits from two tier 8 premium battles isn't compelling.

This is a great incentive for smaller clans to try T10.

Although Arctic probably isn't the best map.

It's really good opportunity to see what strats are not working and what is working on that map.

On the other side it's difficult to gather many teams because clans can't play both, tier 8 and tier 10 (one team can play only one). It is like creating 2 tournaments at the same time. Maybe have tier 8 on Saturday and tier 10 on Sunday?

Gold payouts are not attracitve for the best and good clans because they prefer to skirmish(warfare got nerfed so much).

I would also discuss members' requirements for tier 8 and combatants. No one is playing now tier 8 with 15 ppl. Clan Wars, campaigns, strongholds, all require 10 ppl at tier 8. So the strategies and lessons from this tourney are less valuable.

I agree.  I mean, 2 decent solo tier 8 matches will get you the credits alone.  And the gold isn't worth my effort embezzling from the treasury per player is less than doing a weekly tourny.  And if you keep the same team through the whole tourny, thats not even 1k gold per player for winning.  Let alone cycling guys in to let more guys have fun playing.

People are saying the prize isn't worth it, but they're also assuming that they get the first place prize. This to me indicates that the prize problem is a large one with this tournament. That said I agree, assuming my clan got first place I still don't feel like it'd be worth playing.

On a secondary note I also don't think the prize should scale based on a clans SH level. If a clan with a low level SH earns 1st place they deserve the same reward as everyone else.

I cant speak for my clan, but a personal observation - we have a lot of guns that just wanna fight. This tournament opportunity is great.....thx WOT....now we can run a large roster and have fun/build team work. Low payoff will keep larger Unicom teams away which is good....thx WOT. Many of our guns are not in WOT for a payoff (prize) but to simply shoot stuff and have fun. Sure we try our best to win (and spend credits to do so) but potential payoff is not primary driver here. We came in 198 in recent CW tourn so we are still building but we appreciate opportunity to roll as a team whenever we get the chance.

Why not do t8/10 strongholds? or t8/t10 clan wars landing tournaments where games are soft?

TOURNAMENTS, while still being viable to "work on your game" are more for playing to win and showing you are THE BEST, an exhibition of skill and strategy where if done the best you are rewarded well for it.

Unfortunately here the prizes are not really worth the time.

Even if you take 1st and get 12,000g to clan that is 800g a person, and you wont get first as OTTER is fielding in it if you look at teams.

With 14 teams already made and 5 already viable equity of this tournament would be closer to 200g-300g per person for a decent team.

In comparison fielding two teams for skirmish while being a "decent" team yields about 3000g per player on average(2100 recent wn8 clan running them for a medium size sample is where this came from, we keep track)
and you meet an average of 5 times for skirmish tournament.

So 1/5th of that as this is only 1 day is 600g a person for a day for a "decent" team on skirmish tournament, while here you will make 1/3rd to 1/2 of that, AND you will ALL need tier 10 much harder than getting comps for skirmish tournament.

We will not be running this just isn't worth it, if prizes were doubled or tripled it would then be on par with skirmish tourney.

I understand why the low balled it however, better to start it conservatively as is most things(hint hint) OTTER already pulls in 300,000g a month to treasury at least i would presume a 30k top prize in this would just make that 420,000g a month as they'd win every week.

There are only 4 clans that will win in each class? So anyone who is not in the top 10 clans should not bother because they have a lot to lose and no chance at the reward? But then the top clans are saying it is not worth the time? Overall sounds like a lose-lose tournament.

I don't understand what you mean by class....do you mean in each group? If so, then yes. The number of groups depends on the number of teams that register.

For example, in tier X if there are enough teams for one group, then 4 teams will win. If there are enough team for three groups, then 12 teams will win. If it's kept at 6 teams/group, then 2/3rd of the teams will get something, with 1/2 getting gold. Not really sure how that equals no chance at a reward, when you may end up in  a group that doesn't include a "top clan"....

Yeah, I don't really get what you mean by great incentive for smaller clans to try tier 10.  We're doing just fine getting smashed by the same clans we'd be facing in stronkoholds, why would we even bother signing up for a tourney we won't have a snowballs chance in?

That's not defeatism, that's simply understanding that our competition are the players that WG sends off to places like Tokyo and Vegas to play and we're not those players.
