Replaced the current FMOD sound engine with Audiokinetic Wwise, which processes sounds on a separate core, improving performance of multi-core hardware systems on practically all configurations

Maybe AMD CPU systems with their worse single threaded performance won't have as much of a FPS hit as they currently do when sound processing is offloaded to another core.

Right now an Intel i3 system from 2012(i3-2100) typically gives faster FPS in WoT than an AMD FX-9590 system when using the same graphics card. When you put a GTX 780 ti or GTX 770 in both systems(with similar specs for RAM and hard drive) the i3 system has significantly more FPS(10-15% faster with the same graphics settings) with the current configuration of WoT.  I guess we will find out soon.

At least now large caliber guns appear to not sound like muffled farts.

And the other 7 cores in my CPU won't be sitting around scratching their collective azzez.

Way to finally move into year 2000 technology, WG.  Then again, some will label a cannibal using a fork as progress...

Yeah, name has to be fixed. So much LOL in this post!

Now... only if I knew these new tanks were premium or not... please don't make them premium. No more free rental crap too, it's totally screwing the match maker up. I have never had such bias games my entire WoT career. it's either 23% lose, or 78% win. Seriously, throw me a bone.

Nitpicking, but the video says that we can tell by sound the difference between Gasoline and Petrol engines (which are the same). What about Diesel?

Improved the collision models of the following vehicles: T29, T30, T34

You mean there's a buff or it was simply fixing some glitches for overlapping collision models with the visual models? If that's a buff, then I hope it's only for their turrets since nobody really tries to shoot at these turrets unless you get a clean shot on cupolas. If that's a buff for the hull, I don't think it's really necessary. And if that's about simply fixing errors with overlapping models I hope it won't get messed up.

Pretty exciting to know that the range circles on minimap and rework on sounds will be brought to the vanilla game. If you guys increase the maximum zoom then I won't even use mods anymore. Also, I hope to see female voices ASAP. It's not a big deal, it's just weird to look at these girls before joining the match and then hearing the male voices. lol

its good but mobility is slightly nerfed? needs one more patch to improve on fixing the turning (in my opinion)

Copied from elsewhere :

My thoughts thus far: [Warning: May contain salt and a  little bit of hyperbole]

Do the devs play this game?! Was this rushed a little maybe?

Its cancerous! Did you like using mobility to enhance your play? Wiggle your armour around to squeak out some bounces? Poke corners to get some cheeky shots?

Well congratulations, *arty* you!

Have lag giving you a hard time with the current already laggy turning system?

Well *arty* you too!

Sure the smoothness over railways and getting stuck on less is good, but the downsides of having  less responsive turning and acceleration just lower the skill gap in the game and overall I think puts a  damper on the patch. Tanks all feel like they are powered by rubber bands and driving through mash potatoes just like the previous test server but a little improved. It feels like the tanks have more horsepower but more weight so turning is a bit better compared to the last test which is an improvement from that but still negative compared to live.

Oddly enough, with this lag, fast tanks seem to keep their speed through turning like Chris Christie keeps his weight. I manage going 50 continuously circling in the t54 ltwt and its crazy.

Sound wise, its still pretty much just as bad. The gun sounds are indistinguishable, there is a lot of sound clutter and it generally sounds like a cheap casino. I will say the engine sounds are quite a bit better for those that prefer realistic engine noises (I personally just turn vehicle sound off).

Overall the mobility just feels a little more laggy with a nice improvement to speed retention and the sounds feel cluttered.

Patch rating? like 6/10 meh wg.

Edit: Since Im so negative Il talk some more about the positives. It adds novelty. You can now flip your tanks, push tanks off cliffs with more ease and do sick need for speed drifts in your 54 ltwt like never before.

Edit 2: The more I play this the more I think its not an improvement to skilled game play but adds novelty. It wont kill the game, but its not what it should be.

Edit 3: Forgot to talk about the ui changes. +200 points for the stock minimap changes. Great addition that should help new players right off the bat.... if the tutorial were updated to include it. Still a good addition though.

Edit 4: Ive noticed handbrake acts sort of like a need for speed/mario cart drift button. The second its pressed ground friction seems to drop and the tank can slide.
